Someone asked him about his excitement and if he had to be strapped down while at hospital...I recall mentioning that the other day. :P

He was also asked about Payet, and says he's faced him before at Marseille.

A stand out for me (one of a few):

Maybe there's a job for Jose Enrique afterall.

I think, relatively speaking, that's the strangest team we've put out this season. Not sure quite understand it, tbh. I hope it doesn't blow back on him.

Personally, I'd have preferred to try Sturridge & Coutinho together while the going is good; I think there's less value in then being on the pitch at different times from each other.

I'd have liked to have seen Ward go in goal. Mignolet would come in handy if it came to penalties, though.

Started well here. Missed a couple decent opportunities.

See how much better our corners are when someone actually whips the ball in with pace rather than some ridiculous chip with no pace on the ball at all.

Great finish by the hammers player but giving him that much space FFS.

Typical that when Mignolet seems to be having a solid game, the rest of the defence let him down.

I think Mignolet nearly messed up. Thought he could of saved it more convincingly.

Smith has played well tonight but ball watching on the goal.

Have to get Sturridge on now and try give him 15-20 minutes before Coutinho has had enough.

I had that premonition to, as I did with the cross for the hammers goal unfortunately!!

What a guy he drags the team like a certain you know who, not quite as good but you know what I mean, we need to bust our balls to keep this man

Kudos to Benteke for winning the free kick in that position to. We need to see more of him holding up the ball like that and he might just make a very good LFC player.
