Some of our cup side have proved they are good enough so I think Klopp will now be prepared to rotate more, so hopefully he'll put strong teams out in the EL as a result.
Obviously we'll give the LC full priority by resting a number of players the week before. Beyond that it's going to be a balancing act. Top 4 is gone now but 5th is still a possibility if we can somehow put a good run together. How we do that is another matter. Question is would we sacrifice a top half finish for a chance to win the EL? There are still too many rounds to go and too many teams demonstrably better than us in the EL for us to really consider it a possibility right now. If Sturridge can stay fit and Coutinho keeps his form we should start to play a whole lot better in which case I'd like us to give the EL a real go.
I don't think we can just forget about the League. This season still has to be used a chance for Klopp to implement his ideas and get the side executing those ideas. That means playing games so I don't see any benefit with trying to take players out of league games.

I think the question is what is the best LFC team to get us the maximum points? - the one with Mignolet, Lallana, Milner, Can, Ibe, Hendo, Moreno in (i.e. the one people see as the first team) or the one with the likes of Ward, Smith, Illori, Branagan, Stewart, Texeira, Flanagan in which in many ways has played better recently altho of course Ward is an unknown quantity as he has not played at all yet. Klopp seems to always revert to the first choices no matter how bad they have been or how good the 'kids' have been but I would want to see a bit more flexibility there.
Anyway I am away for over 2 weeks now (till the day of the LC final) - going to Georgia in USA so I am not sure how much I will get on the net whilst there altho I am sure I will be able to find out the results and see some footy on the TV. I fly tomorrow, tonight I am going to Southport for a tribute evening to Bob Paisley with Jimmy Case, Phil Neal, Alan Kennedy and the legend that is Ian Callaghan who I think gets far too little credit for his contribution to our club - a lovely man who made over 100 more appearances for LFC than anyone else - that's impressive. It should be a good night.
I think Klopp will do a lot of mixing of the team in the run up to the LC, that way he gets a chance to see who will be the best to play for the cup. Melwood is going to be a hive of industry while he works out his best options. I strongly believe we should go all out for all we can now, Klopp might look like a nice smiley man, but he's not, he's one of the strictest in the game, will be hard as nails on selections, and in the end, on moving players out.

Seems to be quite the misinterpretation of what has happened with the ticket prices.
It's great that FSG have seen supporters stance and then took action but still the war on ticket prices isn't won. They haven't really reduced ticket prices to a fair affordable price which with a huge TV deal on the horizon they like other clubs can do so. I hope the supporters groups keep up the pressure in this regard.

Listening to Talksport a few days ago and they were saying how, if Bayern Munich were to raise their ticket prices by a certain amount, can't remember the exact figure, they would generate an extra profit of £2m. For Bayern, that was small change when it came to negotiating transfers and they'd rather that money stayed in the fans pockets than theirs.

I think FSG have tried to play it smart by looking like they are not raising prices that much but raising prices isn't the real issue. The prices are too high as it is and they need to come down.

It's not like the majority of other clubs are lowering their prices though as far as I'm aware.
Therefore I hope the supporters see that the owners listened and took action rather than think well hang on we want them lowered. I want the focus on the team and the team alone now.

Why shouldn't they want them lower? They want tickets affordable for everyone rather than pricing people out from going. The club is making a fortune from other revenues and now was the time to give something back.
What other clubs are doing doesn't really matter as they don't like it when one could compare the prices to big sides in Europe.

Well obviously people would want them lower. By not increasing the ticket prices they are not pricing people out, there are plenty of affordable ticket options if you go through it all.
I only brought up other clubs because you mentioned it.
I can see it now, oh Liverpool fans demanding again....not for me, FSG have apologised, no price increase going ahead for the next 2 seasons we should all move on and support the club, the protest was against the price increase and it no longer applies.
