Yep. The corners taken by the kids vs West Ham were quality. Milner and Henderson cannot take set pieces!!!
Wasn't it Henderson who took the corner for the Toure goal on Sunday?

Shocking defending. The kids whip them in with pace making them difficult to defend.

Still don't think we can play Henderson, Milner and Can in midfield together. Very little creativity with the 3 together.

One of those nights when we were blowing cold.

A draw is not a disaster, but against a bottom third Bundesliga side it's a bit disappointing. There is going to have to be some careful thinking about next week's team with the cup final only a couple of days afterwards

What do you base that on? The fact that they're in the Europa League?

Milner has our joint highest assists in the league along with Firmino with 6 - and Henderson is the only central midfielder with any range in his passing. We've nothing better until we buy or recall loans. I think the fact our opponents played with a slow tempo and didn't push forward in numbers limited the space. We need someone who runs from deep and links with the forward players - hopefully Grujic can add that.

The player ratings on the echo site say it all. Hendo & Can pretty woeful last night, but not many of the others did too much more.

Lacked tempo and quality was sadly lacking. Toure & Coutinho were the better performers for me and for a change Migs did what he had to well.

Should still go through but no away goal gives them an incentive and real hope.

Next Sunday the important one for me though, desperate for a cup. A performance like last night will not do it though.

Van Gaal is being slowly roasted over hot coals yet Klopp is left looking for the exact same result ie 1-0 or better at home.

That was a good starting 11. Manager must be tearing his hair out at the lack of consistency. Touch wasn't there like the ball was overinflated.

Not quite, Liverpool don't need to score, they could go through with a 0-0 draw and win on penalties also being held to a draw by a Bundesliga side is nowhere near as bad as losing to a team of Danish part timers.

There's no comparison to make between the two.

We have had enough seasons in transition now we have a good manager people need patience, Let other teams do the revolving door thing.

Agreed. We're finally emerging from the striker woes we've suffered over the last 18 months and now have a manager who both can build an attractive winning side and keep on the side of the players, media and fans. He just needs time to get in the players that fit his blueprint. We are heading in the right direction again and Klopp will hopefully be able to sustain that momentum longer than BR did. We've got to be mindful of United as they just need a 21st manager and a few players to turn things around - competition for those top 4 places next season will be keener than ever, so our business this summer needs to be effective.

There's a picture on Facebook of Mark Lawrenson holding a copy of The Sun. He'll be dead to Liverpool fans, then.

I'm not as anti-Sun readers as others, I don't read it myself, and if I see a link to it I won't quit it but generally if others do it I won't hold it against them since the writer who told the lies isn't with them anymore, but if you have a connection with Liverpool FC having any association with that paper at all is kind of rule #1.

I don't read The Sun for a whole variety of reasons. At some point, fans have got to move on when condemning others who do though - I guess that point will only truly come when all links with that era - including owners etc - are severed.

We should have beaten them, we should have wrapped it up so we didn't have to play a strong side in the 2nd leg, as got City 3 days later in the Capital Cup final, we could have rested some.

We should have won for sure, but wrapped up the tie? They're hardly minnows. It was always going to be a tough trip. You must think we were playing Midtjylland or something.

It's not ideal to have a must-win game 3 days before our cup final, but City have a huge cup tie tomorrow and then travel to Ukraine in the week. I doubt they'll be fresher than us.

Re the discussion on the shitrag, I personally will standby the boycott whatever happens, Kenny gave them the chance to apologise straight away and they continued to drag the names of dead supporters through the muck for decades.

People who read or link to that rag and claim to be supporters of our club are some how missing what the rest of us have loyalty & solidarity in the face of adversity for our Liverpool family, Hell even the bluenoses know this.

I think the apology thing is tie key for those associated with the club back then and I don't think anyone scarred by their lies will ever forgive and rightly so. My point was at some stage in the future newer fans may start to feel this less especially if both parties have no links to back then - but the older fans will still have very, very strong views which will be questioned as time goes on - especially if Murdoch goes. But Lawrenson doesn't have that excuse anyway. I think the thaw is years off personally irrespective of what News Corporation do now - those scars run extremely deep.

Lawrenson's arguing that he wasn't aware that it was The Sun.

I may have to recant after seeing the side City have put out for today's game. If they lose it'll be seen as a withdrawal from the competition, effectively.

They really didn't have a choice to be fair thanks to TV. Hopefully this will erode some of the power the broadcasters have.

Lets hope Pellegrini puts this team out for the Capital final.

We've got em again straight after as well, in the League.

Strange seeing Rodgers as a pundit on the beeb. I can't get Darren Farley's impression out of my head though
