Happy with a deserved win. Managed to be both dominant and scrappy. Augsburg didn't have the quality to punish our mistakes.

El Hadji Diouf's been talking crap again, and Carragher returned the compliment.

From EOTK:

Quote:
“The horrible Senegalese made some awful comments about Carragher that went viral this morning, branding our legendary former centre-back a “f*cking loser” and claiming: “The difference between Jamie and me is that I am a world-class player and he is a s***,” (via the Mirror).”

Carra's response:

Quote:
“The other big difference is he's scored less goals for LFC in the Premier League than me! (Not counting OG's!!)”

Gotta love Carra. Except the Stannis Baratheon in me wants me to correct his "less goals" with "fewer".

Milner's got a decent penalty record for us. Just keep him off the corners and he'll be alright.

The Europa League has given us another two games against Man Utd.

(Spurs got Dortmund)

You will have the weekend off between the two games united will have West Ham in the cup might be significant

Looking at your fixtures, you sure do like facing the same team back to back don't you?!

City, then City, and then Man Utd followed by Man United!

We're gonna be underdogs given the last couple of season's results against Utd.
Interesting to see if it'll be a tactical defensive tie over the two legs.Or will both teams just go for lots of goals as if it was an English domestic blood and thunder couple of cup games.

Whoever wins through ,it'll be strange to think that neither might go all the way in the EL given there's other great clubs left in the competition.

Because of the way European football has gone in recent years the EL often has the feel of the European Cup of yester-year with some big, historic names. Utd and Liverpool fit right in.

The match against Chelsea has been postponed. So now we have to fit in both Everton & Chelsea before the end of season. With the international break next month to consider, I wonder when these postponed games will be played.

Klopp: "I will not talk about tactics ... even in Manchester they have televisions."

I lol'd.

We've just played Augsburg followed by Augsburg too!

I'm glad that we've got another crack at United. The fact that Van Gaal is 4-0 up on us despite his reign being pretty underwhelming is slightly irritating, so I'd like to at least get one over on him before he gets sacked.

Yep, I'm looking forward to this one too. Klopp now has close to a full 1st Liverpool team for the first time since he joined us, and they will be well jelled in time for this confrontation. Bring it on!

Bring it on! If we can play them with our best XI and keep all eleven on the pitch for longer than 38 seconds, we should do well. It would be a nice way to exorcise some demons - or should that be devils?

Most seasons unless the UK's moved or Cameron has his way!

But, to be serious, never.

Seems we're being linked with ter Stegen again, with reports that we're bidding £19m for him.

If we were going to bid for him I don't think we'd do it now, or at least make it known, wouldn't do Mignolet's confidence much good, especially before a cup final. There's also the new contract. And if Barcelona end up winning the Champions League with him as the CL goalkeeper would he want to leave? I know he's supposedly hinted recently about not liking the situation but things might chance if he wins something with them.

Well today is the day and a game that has to be ( certainly should be) very important to certain Liverpool players e.g. Hendo, Coutinho, Sturridge, Lucas. Players who should be winning medals with Liverpool.

Anyway, I can just about take winning or losing as long as the team turn up, play and really have a go at it. Good luck, lads
