****ing hell this place is depressing. Imagine beating Premier League title challengers and bottomless pit of money Manchester City 2-0 and moaning about it. Would you guys rather we lost? I'm properly baffled here.

Nice to see Flanno play Sterling off the park and leading to a half time substitution for the wonderkid.

Just fed up, I'm on the edge I really am, I don't enjoy watching us anymore, so predictable
If you don't enjoy watching us to the point where us beating Man City makes you cry maybe you should stop watching.

You say this game doesn't matter but if we were losing I bet you and 1manonthebog would be moaning about it as if it did matter.

Why did Pellegrini allow his players to celebrate on Sunday night Maybe the match would be a lot closer But who is complaining

Top four is still there for the taking.
I'd settle for that with Klopp for only part of the season and stuck with players he didn't choose.

Might be upsetting to some Liverpool fans, but nice to win 3-0.

And that puts us two places ahead of Hiddink's Chelsea. Apparently that means something.

Great performance and a clean sheet to boost the GD. Lallana MOTM without a doubt but everyone played well.

Now if we could break a habit and actually play this well 2 games in a row I'd be delighted. However, our next game is against Crystal Palace and despite their poor run of form since Christmas, I won't be at all surprised if Bolasie and Puncheon turn into world beaters for the day and Gayle bags a couple to boot.

Hoping Scott Dann decides to sit this one out.

If we win our game in hand, we'll be 3 points behind 4th place. Top 4 is very much still on.

Excellent performance tonight, I thoroughly enjoyed watching it! Shame we didn't play like that on Sunday but hey, that's gone now.

Lallana was sensational tonight, he surprised me. I criticize him a lot but credit where credit is due, he proved me wrong... and I'm glad he did!

One more thing, good on James Milner for celebrating when he scored! It winds me up so much when a player doesn't celebrate when scoring against an old club - especially when they're fans have been booing him the whole game.

Great win and I loved it. It's not as if we didn't put the effort in on Sunday - City played well and we lacked quality cut still lost on the lottery of penalties. City were clearly jaded tonight and we wore them down. Tonight's team was hand picked for high energy pressing and it worked a treat. Not so easy at Wembley.

Until 4th is impossible, and for pride's sake, the game DID matter.

Lallana was on another planet tonight. Beast of a performance. Where has this guy been for 2 years?

Strange given our season how it's still possible, and for Chelsea, too.

Hopefully Klopp's making the players aware of it. Whether we'll do it or not I don't know, we aren't exactly favourites, but I want the players to fight for it, and for there to be something left to fight for this season (besides the Europa) so put some real meaning in the remaining league games.

James Milner has now scored 41 times in the Premier League, and never lost.

We have to get him on the scoresheet more often!

I wonder if he would have had similar record he if played for his old club Aston Villa again

Lol there's a video of Flanno's tackle on Sterling, and it shows Hendo laughing at it. Reminds me a little of the DAgger elbow on Torres.

I know I could edit the above post, but besides the moaning during a match this thread's kinda dead most of the time anyway so can welcome the extra post.

Loved Klopp's post match interview in which he said he heard Bayern Munich lost then laughed out loud, resulting in me laughing out loud.

My chuckle was the excuse that City were tired as they played 120 minutes in a match on Sunday - Really?? Did they?? Awww, poor babes!
