Yeah

Be a cracking couple of matches that, looking forward to it

If we wanna win we were always likely to come across Dortmund or Seville at some stage, so bring it on I say.

Glad the second leg is at Anfield, with it being on the 14th. Dortmund are a classy bunch, will imagine they'll pay respects to the Hillsborough disaster while they're here.”

Given the behaviour last week when a supporter tragically suffered a fatal heart attack during their game against Mainz there's absolutely no doubt theyll pay their respects.

Been out all day, but got the news live on the draw - not what I wanted to see, always had this dream ideal of us and Dortmund in the final - mouth watering for both sets of fans.

Calmed down a bit now, and looking forward to a great atmospheric couple of matches - just feel whoever wins it will be faves for the win. Should be brilliant!

Confirmed that Flanno has signed new contract - pleased for him, and us,

Says what most of us are thinking. Tbh I did not hear the Munich stuff but probably there would be a handful doing it - which I roundly condemn obviously - but it only takes afew and the rest of us have to suffer - but last week there were vast numbers of the away support chanting over Hillsborough and it could be heard on the TV clearly =- so of course double standards.

I would hesitate to call EUFA either corrupt or pro MUFC altho I have seen some who have done but I do think they are pretty incompetant.

Throwing the seats was shocking - unacceptable obviously and it was pretty inflammatory of a LFC fan to put a banner up in amongst the MUFC fans but to me the worst of all was last weeks chants after which there has been zero action from EUFA - and as far as I know MUFC.

I wish both clubs' fans could move on from the tit-for-tat baiting - if either set of fans really got some momentum behind a campaign to clean things up things WOULD change (to some degree at the very least) so the attitude that it'll never change is just weak. It might not disappear altogether but it can most definitely change if enough felt strongly enough about it to act.”

The Dortmund tie will be 100% different as Dortmund are a 100% different club to MUFC.

Re MUFC I do think JK could be a good addition to the mix as he comes over as having nowhere near the hate towards MUFC that some LFC fans have - but I did not hear much said in a similar vein from LVG on their side (all he could say was quotes about LFC living in the past). Also the post chanting statement last week from MUFC lacked a direct apology to the families and LFC which imo it should have contained - and that would have helped.

You see in the past with Shanks and Busby there was respect but that has long gone and all we have now a lot of the time is real hatred - and at times I know i am guilty of it myself - not to the extent of Munich chants or wrecking OT but I do get very animated in the LFC V MUFC games far more than against any other club.

One thing I would love to see is a direct transfer between them for instance but whether it can happen who knows - the first player to make such a move would have to be very brave

Thanks for letting us know that Dortmund are a different side to United, none of us knew .

Thanks Seb for this contribution - I have no idea why you would choose to make a semi sarcastic comment at my expense as a supporter of the same team as yourself - but each to their own I guess. I like to see us fellow reds standing together where possible - and most times it is.

Personally I think many outside of our club do not realise how different and classy Dortmund are - on April 7th and 14th they will see - as i think those games will be a credit to football on every level

I make sarcastic remarks to everyone. It's my thing.

Personally, I'm finding your posts a bit patronising...

If we can get an away goal in the first leg then we have a slight chance of going through

You can really see Klopp's work paying off now. The tempo is great and the players are responding. It reminds me of when things began to click under Rodgers after the first dozen games or so. I still think 4th is too far but I think we'll show good form through to the end of the season and if the draw is kind the EL is starting to look like a possibility.”

Agree with all you wrote, but thank God we have Klopp now, we do not have Luis anymore and he was always a world class talent we knew this since 2010..Klopp is bringing out the best in our players from the defence to the front, top four is not out of reach but even if we do not hit it this year, you could probably bet your house we will hit it next year.

Sorry to intrude, but can someone explain to me why us lesser mortals who don't support Liverpool are more likely to be ignorant of Dortmund as a football club? Did Klopp do a lecture tour round Liverpool or something after he took over?

I did the webinar after the draw. It fitted in nicely with my lunch hour. My certificate comes next week.

It's Kolo's 35th birthday today. I so hope he got cake and teased Yaya about it.

Knowing Kolo it'd be something he'd do.

Uh...okay...whatever.

In other news, Firmino's been pulled out of the Brazil squad through injury, nothing serious though, said to just be a bruising, so he'll miss Southampton but I imagine he'll be back after the international break.

I'm hoping Sturridge also suddenly develops a bruise to stay away from England duty.

The word I used was 'many' - and i stick by it cos LFC and Dortmund have had a special link for years even before the days of Klopp and I would say from what I know of the LFC fan base that they are probably the most popular foreign club with our fans. Of course many knowledgeable fans may know some of the background to this but not everyone. The truth is that we have had support from most clubs both in the UK and abroad over Hillsborough but their support has been greater I'd say - that is something I am sure many non LFC fans might not know and maybe even some LFC fans as well. The common YNWA link is another thing and now Klopp too - with their fans visiting Anfield the day before the last ever Hillsborough service I predict a very emotional occasion - and hopefully a match of enough quality football wise to live up to it.

They had no need to be as supportive over Hillsborough as they have been but as members of the world wide football family they have just chosen to be - and that is very classy in my eyes. I also think there are many other similarities between LFC and them - coming from an industrial city away from the capital, not having the resources of the top club in their country but still managing to match them on and off the park. In short they are a club it is easy to admire - and obviously fans of other clubs may admire them too not just LFC fans

I'd agree with Eddie hunter............. I'm from Liverpool and I've never heard of a special relationship with Dortmund until Klopp joined Liverpool !

That's a fantastic advert for why you like them but nothing more. Sir Alex Ferguson was incredibly supportive over Hillsborough too, I've yet to see you praise him or call him classy because he didn't have to do it. I might add because he was the manager of your greatest rivals he did it all behind the scenes and courted no publicity for it.

I just find it funny that he goes all the way to Germany for support over Hillsborough when he only needs to look across Stanley Park >>>>>>>>
