Couldn't agree more with you there, am still frustrated that we wasn't able to keep the lead & as much as I like Sturridge, I do think that his LFC career is almost done with as he just isn't moving like he used to.
On a lighter note, today I got my ticket to meet Rush & God in July, cannot wait.
A point in the end was probably a fair result, although we could have been a few up before Spurs equaliser had Sturridge taken his chance, which let's be fair he should have done. Lallana's miscue too needed a very good save from lloris.
Coutinho narrowly edges out Lovren for MOTM.
Sakho - does this guy have no middle ground? He either looks immense or like Bambi on ice and not even professional footballer quality. Saturday he was the latter, I've excused a few of his previous as rushing back from injury but no such excuse on Sat he was simply pretty poor and we cannot afford like performances next season for sure. So for me he needs to be consistently good or replaced, we cannot carry passengers if we want to push on and we simply have to. Established players like him (and yes there are others) shouldn't have their form dipping so alarmingly in such a short space of time.
Important we are still in the reverse tie at Anfield so I hope all players are on song come Thursday.
Disappointed to read Lewandowski telling Gotze to ignore LFC and concentrate on Bayern. Maybe it's double bluff and he wants the move here instead

He certainly used to be, especially in his partnership with Suarez. I suppose Suarez being the energiser bunny helped inspire him.

The good news is that he's hoping to get a bit of rest time and be fully 100% soon. I've been a bit disappointed to read all the bad comments regarding him not being 'up to it' - at least he gets out there and tries his best.

I was wanting to post this. When I last mentioned his injury affecting his performances it was rubbished by someone on here. Guess I was right. Can't say I'm surprised at being right, either.
Maybe it'd be best if he didn't go to the Euros, he hasn't been playing all that well recently, due to his injury, and we know what England likes to do to our players. He isn't appreciated outside of LFC, anyway.
Emre Can's suspended for two games, so I can imagine he'll be playing those two at least. Otherwise I'd have been okay with him sitting those two out. He might still be able to rest if we play Milner, Lucas and Joe Allen in the middle. This is Anfield suggested Can's suspension would provide an opportunity for some players, and even named Kevin Stewart. I didn't know he was back from injury but if he is I'd put him in.

The problem with that though is that his well below par performances have had an effect on the team. So I do not applaud him for it, as although it's a far better attitude than that of Daniel, he shouldn't be playing if he knows he's not fit enough to give his best. a long rest to get it right would have been preferable to him playing under par games in pain.
I suppose for me it's whether he was a) I'm ok boss I can play - knowing he wasn't or if it was b) I'm not great boss but I'll play if you want me to.

Yes he played in the unders 2 nil win v leicester the other day. Ojo was immense in that game, you should look at some of the clips out there of his performance and skills. Looking more promising than Ibe at the minute.

The bookmakers really don't fancy us. Sky Bet has us at 5/1 to win, Bet365 and Williamhill at 11/2. I stopped looking after William Hill. On Oddschecker some places have like 60/11 but I think that includes sign-up promotions rather than actual odds.
We're underdogs, and Liverpool do like to ruin a good bet but worth a gamble I think.
Also Firmino's travelled to Dortmund. If he plays I'd be more optimistic.

Coming off the bench wouldn't give him the game time he needs, and I think he's just unlucky that he shares their position.

Fair point - for the number 10 and winger roles we have (or will have after the loan finishes) other options too like Markovic, Ibe and Texeira. I think all of them one day will make PL players (or at least top league players in other countries maybe) but cos of our many options whether they will get enough chances at LFC remains to be seen. Also we may not always play 3 in that role as we may put in more central midfielders or we may play 2 up front but if we do play 3 it is likely that they will be Lallana, Firmino and Coutinho. Or Gotze when he comes
Its tough being a young player trying to break through at LFC - and its tough being the manager and keeping everyone happy - but I guess there's worse jobs in life to do before you start getting too sorry for these people

Decent interview with someone who knows the game and what he's talking about. I have been bewildered to the core when Lallana has had a dammed good match and 'expert fans' just rip him to shreds. He reminds me of Kuyt for his energy and determination, and his match play and passing is normally superb. He's a definite stayer for Klopp, and a good option for the England squad, improving in leaps and bounds lately (literally!).
He suffered last season from injuries and the way the team suffered in general. This season it's clear Klopp likes him, he has such energy and skill. He does lack goals and assists but he still contributes, and his lack of goals and assists wouldn't be a problem, or even noticeable if others contributed more to the goals.
If people like Xavi and Klopp like him then that's good enough for me.

ANY PL game time is better than none - how do we know he won't ultimately eclipse those players? In some games, with the game won after an hour or so or when Coutinho/Firmino/Lallana are tiring, we could give him longer than 10 minutes. Once our fate is sealed this season, he should get starts. That's how we used to do things in the past, especially at the tail end of the season. We can't keep leaking talent just because we don't want to risk playing relatively untried players. Otherwise, we'll just keep having to buy ready-made players at a premium and that doesn't make economic sense if we potentially have a replacement within the club.
Coutinho may a gem, Firmino improving all the time and Lallana in his best spell of form for us but none of them are consistently productive for 90 minutes game after game - a bit more rotation may actually help them due to the physical demands Klopp places on them.
To me, Henderson revealing the other day that he has been plying whilst in pain with an injury smacks of a man who is worried that his days at the club could be numbered and it is both an appeal for sympathy and support from the fans and a bit of trying to convince Klopp that he can perform better.

He's that rare commodity of a genuinely two-footed player. He's got the technique but injuries and confidence have hindered him up to now. His final ball/pass could improve still but his general play has improved significantly.
OR it's him revealing his performances have suffered due to him suffering with an ongoing heel injury? It's more of an explanation than a cry for sympathy.
Yep, it could be that as well. I just view it differently and as I said a few months ago, if they got a good offer for him, they would let him go
