Tomorrow we remember the 96 who lost their lives far too soon 27 years ago. It'll be the last time the Hillsborough memorial service is held at Anfield.

Players, managers, coaches and supporters. You did their spirit proud tonight.

The best match I've watched all year, insane drama

There's no sport like it

Hope to God Pool go on and win it now. Nothing beats a big European night at Anfield

I thought it was a travesty when Liverpool didn't win the league in 2014

While this would be small consolation I still think it'd be super see Liverpool go on and win it and grab a CL place!

Well said Michael. Tomorrow is far more important than any football match.

But how nice it will be to remember the 96 on the back of such a magnificent win. Just how they would have wanted it had fate not been so cruel to them.

Justice for the 96.

I work in a Liverpool supporting bar, we all went mental. My voice is gone. Glasses went flying, I was pulling a pint, that went flying...my heart is still going!

Not to be a negative nancy, but imagine how anti-climactic it would be to lose 3-0 on aggregate to Villareal in the Semis now after that.

The ITV highlights showed King Kenny in the stands with his wife Marina at the final whistle. They both had tears in their eyes and mine got a 'bit dusty' to

Im so glad Dejan Lovren and Mamadou Sakho are playing like they were playing for their previous clubs. I dont know why Brendan Rodgers could get the best out of them but Jurgen Klopp has done a wondeful job of getting the best out of the players and i to say a special mention for Divock Origi who after a slow start looks like a real top player

Origi is quality. When people were saying we need a new striker I said Klopp will mould Origi into the striker he wants. He gets better with every game.

I think Sakho and Lovren are helped as we play with a more conventional back four now. Under BR our full backs would get foward at every opportunities which would leave Centre backs exposed at times and get them dragged into wide areas. Lovren would really get exposed one on one.

With Matip coming with Lovren, Sakho and Gomes I think we are looking good for Centre halves next season.

United supporter here, never thought I'd post in this thread but I cannot deny that was a brilliant match and Liverpool achieved what I thought (twice) would be impossible. Disappointing (for me! ) but an awesome performance. Wow.

After our fourth goal a few from the front row in the disabled seats jumped up. We really do work miracles! I put it down to the Welsh Jesus.

People always say that Hillsborough has affected the lives of so many people. Well it's definitely true, it's affected my life in some ways and I wasn't even born in 1989... So I can only imagine how hard today must be for people who were actually there.

27 years on and the fight for justice is still ongoing. I don't know how the families of the 96 still have the courage and the will to still keep on fighting after all these years, they are the heroes.

I am so happy to say I was wrong.

I love this club and it's European pedigree.

Lovren of all people, how transformed has his season been
Well done for admitting that but you fell into the typical mistake of a fan. Remember opposition teams, some of them quite good ones as well, want to win games as well. Just because your team goes behind or even loses does not make them rubbish.
