41 shots on goal! Jeez!
I took a pic gonna wind up my mate tomorrow. He's gonna get it.

Loved that performance. Was getting a bit vexed at first because we were playing well but wasting chances, but that all went away once the first went in and it was cruise control there on in.

Only downside was the injury to Origi.

The commentator said was only a badly swollen ankle, So hopefully be back and fully fit in a week or two.

Over the moon with that result, just hope that Origi will be ok.

I'm buzzing! What an incredible night, there are great vibes around Liverpool atm and I'm loving every minute of it!

Thought Coutinho was MOTM (if I had to pick one), he was outstanding!

Only downside is the Origi injury, hope it's not too bad because we need him at the moment.

I loved it when Coutinho scored and Sturridge tried to claim it because the ball touched him when it went in and Sturridge went to him to say it was my goal but Coutinho was saying No No its my goal

Best bit was Sakho running to Toure on the bench to celebrate his goal - that was pure magic. Klopp's reaction to Lucas attempting goal was brilliant too, nearly fell off his seat laughing!

So love this squad and Klopp.

Struggled to enjoy the derby win after that horror challenge on Origi early in the 2nd half. Our most promising player who's currently in red hot form potentially out for the remainder of the season.

Other than that though. it was probably the easiest derby win I can remember. Even easier than the victory by the same scoreline 3 years ago. Everton are absolute pushovers at the moment, who don't look like they have a hope of progressing whilst Martinez is still in charge.

Looks like Klopp will have to play Sturridge from now until the end of the season. There is mo excuse for Klopp not to play him now

Milner now joint third in PL assists, tied with Silva and Mahrez and two ahead of Payet.

Now, if only he could cross a stationary ball...

In 2016, Only Messi & Suarez have more assists than Milner in the top five European Leagues! (the stat includes all competitions)

As you say though, his corners are shocking!

Well we would score more goals if Milner could cross more accurately

Bar was rocking tonight, I obviously had to stop serving drinks to celebrate when we scored. Had a big round on when Origi went off, so missed the challenge, but hope he's okay.

I can't actually sleep at the moment as I'm still buzzing!

41 shots to 3? Absolute massacre! Fantastic performance by everyone out there tonight. Fingers crossed we can keep this form up until the end of the season. We'll certainly need it to overcome Villarreal.

What was Funes Mori's chest-thumping about after that disgusting challenge on Origi? The FA should take action as celebrating injuring a fellow professional is vile behaviour.

On a lighter note, Sturridge got his 50th (and possibly 51st?) goal for us tonight in just 87 games. Apparently only 3 LFC players (post-war) have hit 50 quicker - Albert Stubbins (77 games), Roger Hunt (79) and Fernando Torres (84). What's more impressive to me is how he's done it despite his continual injury problems. I suspect he'd have got there quicker if he wasn't made of glass.

Well I can't ever remember a more one sided derby game; if our players had their accurate shooting boots on it would have been 10 and counting! I just caught a stat at the end of the sky sports coverage that claimed Everton had only three touches in our penalty area whilst we had 64 in theirs. Alberto Moreno had 4 shots at goal which is one more than the entire Everton team.

I have to say I'm quite pleased that Milner got MotM and is getting some praise and recognition just now. That's him on a combined goals & assists of 16; level with Firmino and three ahead of Coutinho. It's his absolutely woeful corners that give people the excuse to jump to an unfairly negative opinion of him. He's definitely been one of our solid players this season, and a good transfer move for us.

Of course we just had to have our night ruined with another injury. A horrible attempt from a professional player and a deserved red card. I thought at the time Origi could have a broken ankle, but it looks like a major sprain and some soft tissue damage which could be a month out of action. Striking duties now shared between Sturridge and Firmino for the rest of the season and as we can't afford any more injured this season, I'd expect another bunch of youngsters getting a chance this weekend....they might even give Rafa half a chance

Super performance. Totally dominated against one of the worst Everton sides traveling to Anfield. They were abysmal. However we were ruthless and took full advantage. When they went down to 10 we really punished them. Awful tackle, a real shocker and lucky Origi's injury wasn't worse.

Sakho becoming a real cult icon. Was a strong fan of his when he signed and good to see it all coming right.

The work coutinho has done himself to improve his shooting is immense and shows what can happen with practice.

James Milner's work in the final third is very good. He links up well with others around him and I really think he brings something extra to the dressing room.

Sturridge took that goal excellently. Great first touch and his record is immense. His actual goal to minutes ratio must be ridiculously good.

Joe Allen is younger, fitter, and has a better reading of the game, I think he's a better all round player than Lucas.

Lucas has been one of my favourite players but I think he either needs to adapt his game, or leave, the way he got rolled against Bournemouth was terrible.
Have a word with yourself. He has been excellent when called upon this season, including his many CB roles (unfamiliar to him). To say he needs to adapt or leave because of an injury time goal conceded is frankly ridiculous!

On last night's game. How enjoyable did that turn out to be, missed early chances with Lallana & Firmino but once Origi put us ahead I was very confident of the win, the further goals & Ole's were a big bonus. The whole team, except for Migs who was sitting in the stands with the fans I think were very very good.

Mori (or whatever his name is) is a blurt! Ragging his badge after his sending off was disgraceful, I mean whats to do that about other than hurting Origi, muppett! I hope his manager spoke to him and his fans think he was a t$t too.

Don't agree with those saying most comfortable win though, when we demolished them 4 nil under Rodgers we were home and dry before we'd even scored last night, that for me was never nervy whereas until we actually scored last night it was no done deal.
Also now sure how they can have been worst everton side, I mean they have Lukaku, Barkely, Stones, 150M worth of players right there!!

Wow total domination 😁

What does everyone think of Villarreal, I see they are 4th in the La Liga. I've never really watched them play, should we beat them comfortably?

They don't appear to be a high scoring side so if we are sensible in the first leg (ideally nicking an away goal) we should go through with a win at home - got to watch Bakambu though who has scored most of their goals in the Europa League (nine).

Let's hope Sakho and Lovren deal with him as they did with Lukaku, although to be fair Lukaku was pretty isolated and starved of service.

He'll rotate Sturridge with Firmino hopefully.

I think Sturridge can't handle two games a week at the moment and needs to eased back in to avoid injury.

Where's Danny Ings in his comeback? I thought he was close to full training? Could be useful if so.

He may utilise Benteke if it becomes a problem of game time with Sturridge, we do still have him hanging around so I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him on the subs bench. If on a comfy win he could give Daniel that one hour play, then off.

Any news on Ings lately? Last I saw was a while back where he was flat out trying to get full fitness back, but he did look good.

For all that, I really am disgusted at that foul on Origi, and that idiot players attitude coming off, hope he gets his comeuppance very soon!
