Not surprised about this but Sakho has been suspended for 30 days
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36161272 That's his season over with then, hopefully he won't need to resort to this kind of activity again. |

Apologies for crashing in on you, but did anyone see Sky News coverage of this press conference on Sunrise this morning?
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp accidentally trolls his translator and finds the whole thing hilarious http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-ze...ntally-7851691 I love Jurgen Klopp - he's so full life and effervescence. You're really lucky to have landed him. ![]() ![]()

Bit boring as expected really.
Job well done if we get a 0-0 draw and a 1-0 win will be a massive bonus! |

We've deliberately kept the tempo down and look very composed - definitely got an away goal or two in us if we can get some runners into the box. Set up for Sturridge to come on later and nick a goal. Be interesting to see how we get on if we finally get any set pieces.
We are doing OK, let's hope the second half see's us getting that breakthrough. |

I'd get Ibe on me. We've had no joy through the middle, but they look susceptible on the flanks and we should be looking to exploit that.

Very poor from Moreno. Vacates his position and we get punished.

Almost a good result. Now we've a lot to do at Anfield.

Had nothing in the final third tonight.
No origi and no Sturridge hurt the team. Looked like Klopp went for a 0-0 |

What's Mignolet doing there? The ball gets passed past him and instead of trying to react he puts his hand up to try to appeal for offside...

Anyways, Good news is that Ings fee is finally agreed, £6.5million.
As for the match? First half over, come on Anfield! |

Well that's a real kick in the teeth. An unnecessary and unexpected hill we now have to climb over.
Can we beat Villareal by 2 clear goals at Anfield? Of course we can, and I'm looking forward to seeing us battle for our place in the final. |

Thought we missed a trick not putting Sturridge/Benteke on with 20 minutes to go to push for that away goal. Moreno could have so easily been the hero with that breakaway but ended up the villain.
I'm still confident we'll win by two clear goals at home though. |

Bizzare by Klopp, seemed to be content with a draw. I am disappointed because Villarael were there for the taking and to not bring our best striker on or start him is weird. Anyway I trust Klopp and think we'll beat them comfortably at Anfield.

Not the end of the world, still all to play for, hopefully we can get a pretty early goal to level it back up, and then go on to win

We were sucker punched tonight in the way we did it to Dortmund a fortnight ago. Agree with the calls for needing Sturridge out there, even if it had been off the bench.
Unlike Dortmund though, we have 90minutes to turn this around. |

It would have been a lot better if Liverpool got the away goal but European nights at Anfield are always special, so we still have great chance of reaching the final

There's been a story going around the past couple days about a Stephen Whittle, who has been named the 97th Hillsborough victim. Hasn't been mentioned on here so thought I'd do it. You've probably heard it by now and seen the picture of him touching the This Is Anfield sign but I'll mention it anyway.
Due to work committments he sold his ticket to the 1989 FA Cup semi-final to his mate, who became one of the 96. He lived with guilt, until 2011 when he took his own life by jumping in front of an on-coming train. He left £61,000 in his will to the Hillsborough families. Nobody who knew him noticed anything was troubling him to such an extent, he came across as a happy person, which sadly is often the case with suicide victims. A sad story, living with such guilt when he shouldn't have had to, then he donates money to the families. It really did have an effect on a lot of people, not just the people who went to that game, and the effects still being felt today. |

Not sure what Klopp was playing at with Sturridge but he is right in what he says its not over. I would give a few key players a rest against Swansea and then come out all guns blazing next week with Sturridge starting.

So is there anything going on between Klopp & Sturridge? I wasn't surprised he didn't play yesterday but the question is why? Is Klopp trying to keep him fresh for the summer for England or some other legitimate reason for not playing him or is there some personal reason? I can't beleive Klopp would be unproffessional like that but there's been a few rumours flying around for a while now and Klopp hasn't had the kindest work for Sturridge in the past.
