Due to work committments he sold his ticket to the 1989 FA Cup semi-final to his mate, who became one of the 96. He lived with guilt, until 2011 when he took his own life by jumping in front of an on-coming train. He left £61,000 in his will to the Hillsborough families. Nobody who knew him noticed anything was troubling him to such an extent, he came across as a happy person, which sadly is often the case with suicide victims.
A sad story, living with such guilt when he shouldn't have had to, then he donates money to the families.
It really did have an effect on a lot of people, not just the people who went to that game, and the effects still being felt today.”

Andy Burnham mentioned him in his speech to the commons.
I really feel for him. To have had to live with that much guilt must have been impossible.
