The fist pumping at the end, what a guy. Although I love Rafa his total lack of emotion when we won was annoying.
There were plenty of other managers the same as Rafa, unfair to single him out. Especially after the sitting scene.

Klopp was hilarious against Dortmund though, going daft after the goals up to 3-3, then Liverpool score the 4th, nothing.

What a brilliant night - I had to go out and hoped to be back for about half way through the first half but it ended up being at half time so I only saw the second half.

As far as i could see it was a total team performance - no weak links (Moreno and the poss pen for them being the only dodgy moment) and it was great to see and hear the passion and togetherness that is now in the club. You would have to be an extreme pessimist to not think that the club was on the up in a big way under this manager. - what do you reckon Grouty?

What's this?

Don't the team realise we have to go to a nail biting penalty shootout, or at the very least get a killer goal way into injury time to nearly give us fans heart failure in a European knockout tie for LFC

You're having a laugh Klopp

90 mins from a trophy and CL football.

Who would of thought that a few months ago.

I guess the overreaction from a meaningless defeat v Swansea really wasnt necessary was it?

Apparently Daniel Sturridge didn't get to celebrate with the rest of the team because he was made to take a drugs test soon after the game finished. He's in the clear but seems upset about it. Pretty crappy of UEFA, could've waited a few minutes I'm sure.

That sucks, and is out and out cruel - what was 10-15 minutes to them? If anyone deserved to celebrate with the team it was him.

Another great night! Very proud of the club, crowd and team tonight. Thoroughly well done to JK, he got his line-up and plan spot on.
The whole team came together and worked themselves into the ground, all over the pitch, for the whole game.

Mingolet: only had one save and one clearance from a corner to make; mainly thanks to...
Lovren & Toure: a fantastic night for those two, had Villareal's front two totally dominated into insignificance. Lovren especially was top class, perhaps his best game for Liverpool.
Can & Milner: once again huge work rate from the players in our engine room. Impressive from Can for his first game back ( rest has done him some good), his screening in front of the CB's was just what we needed tonight.
Sturridge & Coutinho: always lively, creative and Sturridge gets those shots on target.
Firmino: beats Lovren to the MOTM for me. his movement caused Villareal a lot of problems and the flicks and lay-offs just didn't give their defenders a chance to get a grip on him...and that turn was sublime.

One game, one result and, perhaps, one goal away from more Euro silverware and a place in the CL. Wow. Sevilla will be tough, they can play and they love the EL, and going for three wins in a row gives them plenty to play for.
But, the last time we were in the final of this tournament we won it...and we won it against Spanish opposition, and if we want another tenuous good luck link, we won it in Dortmund.

I don't think any drugs would've left his system that quickly, they could have waited. Poor guy just can't catch a break.

Unfortunately its normal practice, poor Robbie Keane got stung twice in Japan in 2002, missed the scenes after both Germany and Saudi Arabia games.

It's not good for a player though, wreaks havoc on your digestive system for the rest of the day as you haven't refuelled after the game.

I hope Klopp dont decide to get rid of Sturridge, as he i think he wants to get his own striker in the summer. So i hope Sturtidge starts in the final and scores a hat trick to show him that he does not need to buy a new striker

I'll be shocked of we sold sturridge. His class and there isn't many better than him avaliable.

With sturridge, origi, ings and Firmino we have a good mix.

So? Doesn't mean I have to like it or that it wasn't a crappy thing to do.

Yeah, I thought that was a pretty shitty thing to do also. He scored and was the reason the first goal went in.

The team could've at least waited around for him.

Although in their moment of celebration they could have forgot Sturridge wasn't with the crowd.

How many times have you gone out with mates and you walk off and realise you left one behind? LOL I know I've done it, more than once.

I can't believe they're playing the final in a ground that can only hold 38,000! That's just stupid.

Liverpool fans have an allocation of just 9000 seats in Basle - with room for at least 100,000 more in the city!

9,000 is pathetic really.

You could just about fit Raheem Sterling and his imaginary army of offspring in those allocated seats.

Looks like it's time for a fans revolt in Europe. I see that both RMadrid and AMadrid are only being allocated 18,000 fans tickets each in a stadium holding 80,000. UEFA are keeping the rest 'for their own purposes'. (55%)

There is already a huge outcry over this in Spain.
