Still think POTY should go to Firmino.

Wonder if Couts will get a hat-trick tonight then?
Performance of the Season, over Firminho & Lallana. Yep, right! |

I'd like to see Firmino get that, but there are many who could be in the running.

Not to happy about this, Couts has just pulled the Player Player award, if he clean sweeps, he'll be looking for a transfer!

Margaret Aspinall and Robbie Fowler went on the stage to present the Lifetime Achievement award to Steve Highway.
Next up it's the prestigious Player of the Season award as voted for by you! The nominees are... Philippe Coutinho Roberto Firmino Nathaniel Clyne Emre Can And Philippe Coutinho takes it. He wouldn't have been my choice, as great as he is. |

Disappeared Milner wasn't even nominated - just shows how underrated he is by many fans - reckon his corner taking has tainted the votes!

Agree, I think others were as good, if not better at times than Couts, I'd like to have seen the honours shared a bit more.

That's two years in a row he's dominated the awards. Better start practicing your speeches Philippe!

Coutinho has had another great season, and after a slow start Firmino has been great

Personally I'd have given the award to Clyne for his sheer consistency but I'm glad he got nominated at least.
Milner and Firmino have had some really quiet games but you can't argue their contributions in terms of goals and assists. Happy with both so far. Disagree with Coutinho winning goal of the season too. Benteke's goal against United was something special. Perhaps forgotten about because we lost that day, and because Martial scored a less impressive goal but Martin Tyler practically exploded with joy over it. |

This is unlikely to happen, but if it did Liverpool would have to play a Europa League play off against West Ham.

A play off to qualify for the Europa League would have to be the most depressing play off game around.

I see our other Jordan (Hendo) is desperate to play next week in the final. As club captain, if he's fit enough he should be leading the team out, but I have a worry over if he should or not? |

4 year deal for him too, think he'll do well anywhere he goes, nice lad who really can play, will watch out for him up there.

Hendo should only make the subs bench if he's declared fit. The team have played well without him. He's not a world class player that you would say is difficult to replace - Can, Milner and Allen can all do what he does and just as well recently.
For me the team for the final should be those who started V CFC - but hopefully with a bit more passion!! Subs? Ward if fit Skrtel Smith (only cos Flanno not in squad) Allen Lucas Ojo - who I would pick over Ibe who for me has big question marks against him right now Origi (hopefully) - but if not fit then Benteke. In some ways I prefer Origi to Sturridge but I think to put him straight back in after an injury break would not be sensible so Sturridge should start but we could see Origi some time in the game I think. |
