Come on guys, we made it to 2 finals this season - what other club did the same? None.
Yes, it's absolute sh*t we didn't lift that cup, but just pack in all the sobbing, we've had an amazingly exciting season, and frankly, I'm looking forward very much to the next one. Klopp has already stated that anyone who reckons they won't come to us, as we don't have the CL to play for, won't ever come to us. He wants the players that will come in to work for it, not just take what we have. Quite right too! Take the positives, the negatives will only destroy your sanity. |

Really awful second half performance, very very poor
Made Sevilla look like Barca We have to improve the defence next season, Moreno he is a liability just an awful player. Woeful second half performance, but then Liverpool have been playing 45 minute games all season. Klopp, once again, was completely bamboozled and beaten by a change in tactics after half time, a change to which neither he nor the players had any answer. I thought Sevilla might turn us over good and proper. They wern't given the repsect they deserved pre-match, either by LFC fans, the press or the muppet BT pundits. I think Judas said 3-1 to Liverpool pre match. Typical of the clueless fool to get it the wrong way round. It's disgusting that after putting in the effort to beat Man Utd and Dortmund, the players get to the final and didn't bother. It wasn't tiredness. They'd not played for a week. Maybe they thought they could just turn up and win. Were probably celebrating at half time like Milan in Instanbul. That turned out as well for them as it did for Liverpool tonight. What is the point in Klopp being the man take the club forward when in the home straight, he fails time after time? Get to a final and lose. . rinse and repeat. So what? Absolutely pointless. The man's not a winner and neither are the players. There's something seriously rotten with the mentality in the squad. Am totally unconvinced by Klopp. The 7 1/2 months he's had have proven worse in the PL than under Rodgers. I'll give him the summer to rebuild, and then up to Christmas to show that he's taking the team to a level where it can realistically challenge for top 4. FSG really should've gone with Ancelotti. |

This time last year we'd just lost 6-1 at Stoke in Stevie G's last game and Rodgers was still in charge

Not sure of the last time the Italian managed any club that wasn't one of the richest in it's respective leagues. He is an all time great boss and I would've liked him at Anfield one day but I think that ship has sailed.A man who has won 3 European Cups would not have come to our club in it's present standing in the PL.Regardless of how many cup finals we got to. |

Arsenal fan with sympathy.
You were poor in that 2nd half. Didn't do yourselves justice at all. You should have won the game. Must be frustrating for you. I did notice a few times that I didn't thing Sturridge tried hard enough to get on the end of balls. He seemed to hold back on sprinting, and going in for 50/50s. I wanted you to win that. I noticed Sturridge definitely tired and wasn't chasing as much as the game went on. |

That 2nd half was abysmal. Fed up of all the hot air spouted about, then no actions to match the words.
Only Toure came out of that game with my sympathy the rest deserved nothing more. Awful category - Moreno, Coutinho, Firmino, Lallana, Milner, even Can. To not come out for the 2nd half when 45 mins from a trophy and CL football is unacceptable. Give me Rafa's half time team talks than Klopp's any day. ![]() Sorry to be so negative but the second string would have performed better than that and that is frustrating! |

I think Klopp should be judged once he gets his own players in and then we will see what he can do, he is definately the right man to take us forward. He can`t be blamed for the way we just fell apart after conceding shortly after half time. There were too many players tonight not at the races, Can, Coutinho, Fermino, Milner, Lallana, Moreno were poor tonight Lucky we had Toure in defence he saved a few clear chances, he was outstanding for us the only real plus we had. The goal aside Strurridge didn`t want to close people down, the pressing tonight was seriously lacking. Klopp said after the game he wasn`t happy the way we even started the match and I would agree with him, we were too slow in our build up play. At least now next season we can concentrate just on the league. |

The big decisions (ie the penalty shouts) were correct but he gave Sevilla countless free kicks all over the field for their constant play acting.

Already questioning the manager. Really.
Some people seem to think the side cannot lose. Must win every game or else. Oh and let's stop the failing to win big games bs. Wasn't the game v Utd a big game. Dortmund a big game. Semi finals big games? Success can take time and just enjoy the ride instead of looking at whatever negative one can find and letting that supercede every positive. |

Luckily I was in one of the pubs near Anfield, near the supporter's club. Had free Wi-Fi, and it was full of Liverpool fans, great atmosphere.
I'm so glad I didn't watch it in my local, and not just because there wouldn't be many in there. I have two, but in the one I'd have probably chosen you're kind of outnumbered by Evertonians. The fulltime whistle was not a time to be surrounded by Evertonians.

My thoughts on the game -
Firstly, congratulations to Sevilla, they were probably the better team for 60 minutes of the game, thus deserved winners. Too many of the UK pundits made Liverpool overwhelming favourites, in what was really a 50/50 game. Secondly, the referee was shite, gave us nothing all game. IMO the first handball was definitely a penalty. With regards to their third goal, it was the correct decision but had it been at Liverpool's end, would he have overruled his assistant? With regards to our performance, I thought Clyne, Toure, Milner and Mignolet played well. Firmino and Coutinho were anonymous, probably due to our tactics deployed for the night. Sturridge summed up his game at the moment, able to produce a goal out of nothing but not great at holding the ball up or bringing others into the game. Can wasn't great when playing against a 3 in midfield, but he's still young. And as for Moreno, he cost us the game yesterday, terrible header followed by a half hearted attempted at closing the opponent down and the 2nd half tactics go down the pan. Had it stayed 1-0 for 15 minutes longer, we could have hit them on the counter instead. I believe Klopp is definitely the man to take us forward, but that's few games now where we have been on the ropes and he's not changed anything tactically. Allen should have been on at 1-1. Finally, special mention to Ever Banega - I thought he was the best player on the pitch yesterday, his close control and weight of pass, especially for the second goal was exemplary. Did Rafa Benitez ever try to buy him, I'm sure we were linked with him when he was at Valencia? If so, would have been a great replacement for Alonso. |

Whats the relevance to this discussion?
This hurts the most in them years, I just don't know when it's going to end anymore it's like we could have the best manager ever and some of the best players in our team and we would some how still lose. It's hard to be positive it really is. |

It's because we are so close in majors and with LvG getting ripped apart and could be sacked yet he he will win some silverware whilst the Liverpool way over the past 10 years is to lose when it matters most, and of course Man U will win it's how it is we're a Jinxed club.

It's hard to be positive it really is. The Manager hasn't even had a full season yet or built his own side yet reached two cup finals with some real impressive wins on the way. Its not bad for starters at all. Quote:

Yes Banega was class. Superb player.Seville deserve a lot of credit for the slight changes they made. They met us higher up the pitch and we couldn't beat there press. We got overrun in midfield and Can really struggled. I thought we should of brought on Allen earlier as the tide was turning but still the players on the pitch have responsibility and they didn't react well. They lost there shape. |
