Remember those days when Pardew's Palace had win after win against us. Now he can't even get them out of third gear when up against 10men for the last ten minutes of a cup final.

Well I know on Wednesday many Everton fans were supporting Sevilla, some even changed their Facebook profile picture with a temporary "come on Sevilla!" thing.

As for today, some Everton fans seem to like Man United, or prefer them to Liverpool. I know one in particular who's even from Liverpool who classes himself as an Everton and Man United fan.

It's a joke based on Everton fans wanting Sevilla and probably Man United to win their respective cup finals.
Thanks, now I see it a very funny response from Carra from something that is probably pathetically true. I see Utd supporters woke up when they got in front late on at Wembley.
Nice to see they've still got some after so many now follow Leicester

Although the director of football rumour over Moaninho could also be funny. Jose had enough trouble coping with Abramovich's ego at Chelsea.Another one above him at old Trafford could get messy

Looks like we could be signing the goalkeeper Karius soon, and Leicester's young LB Ben Chillwell, who's been on loan at Huddersfield this season. The manager, David Wagner, is a good friend of Klopp's, and praises Chillwell highly.
Good news but again with FSG it's youngsters with no PL experience. Hope we can sign a few older leaders in the Toure or Milner mode ( but with pace LOL).As well as at least one star name in or approaching the prime of their career this summer.

To be honest, if it were Orville and The Krankies taking those jobs I wouldn't expect you to be any more optimistic!

Let me just grab my crystal ball and I'll let you know....

What kind of open-ended question is that? It could be next season. It could be in 5 seasons. It's not really something that can be answered...

By the beginning of April 2017 when we've sewn up a top 4 finish with the title coming later that month.
It's our year etc etc.

(Sarcasm to entice other clubs supporters into this thread LOL)

We've been linked with Danny Drinkwater...knew it wouldn't be long until we were linked with one of the Leicester players, and I don't consider a young LB as one of those.

I'm kinda surprised we weren't linked with Schmeichel, to be honest.

"Failed" is such an ugly way to put it. There's no shame is losing to a team who has an unlimited budget - on penalties too!

He lost one but you mentioned Wenger who has lost two of those whilst never winning that competition.Once to Birmingham City in a season they were relegated

I've nothing against Arsenal or their manager, so I find it a bizarre comparison you've made.Between Klopp who has had less than a season in England and a bloke who's managed in this country for nearly 20years.

We finished 8th and have no European football next season. In the interim, we just need slayers that can get us into the top 4 and suit Klopp's system better than some we've already got. World beaters are bound to be an exception for now. Wot appear to have a unrealistic sense of entitlement. Plus why are you paying any attention to the usual Sunday paper fiction anyway?

Been away from the forum for 24+ hours and come back to find Sloth has done an equally long article to mine about BR mainly in response to what I said - what are we like

I think I need to try (yet again!!) to be briefer and so I will hardly comment at all on the specifics of what was said. As I said at the start of my 'essay' it is the past and has gone and so it is hardly necessary or constructive to go over it. We differ a bit in emphasis but I do feel I gave BR quite a lot of credit and wished him well at CFC so I do not regard myself as a BR hater at all, frankly I regard myself as someone who gives a full and largely well balanced picture of him, his LFC career and his general qualities - but I bet Sloth disagrees. Oh well - I am not going to change and nor is he so i think we need to respectfully say we agree to differ and move on.

On a lighter note - today i was at Anfield and did a 5K run round Stanley Park and surrounding area going past both Anfield and Goodison in memory of the 96 with sponsor money being raised for the LFC and EFC charities. It was a great atmosphere and celebration of our club and our city - and talking of ex LFC bosses guess who was there? Rafa!! - and I had my photo taken with him which being the big kid I am gave me a big thrill - even tho I am 60 years of age. The loud cheering when he was introduced from the stage showed the love for him from the people of Merseyside - I can think of many places which do not see him like that - no wonder he still lives on the Wirral and has an obvious love for LFC and the city. I also ran the whole 5K without stopping which I felt pleased with myself for at that age and at the end Margaret Aspinall gave me my medal - again a great thrill. Last year 4000 did this run in its inaugral year and it seems that this year it was similar amount or maybe even more. How about some of you other DS LFC fans doing it next year - I hope to again - and if I can do it anyone can!!. Or maybe some of you did???

I saw the new stand too while i was there - its coming along nicely!!

I keep hearing Mario Götze linked a few times today, now that's to much to ask for.

Back to my earlier post "TheSloth", that's why we are stuck in a cycle with these players and under performing in key games, I hope Klopp can't work some magic and bring some top class to Liverpool.

I'd like to get over to it some year. Sounds like a brilliant 5k.

Apparently Rafa would have run it if he'd have known further ahead that he'd be able to commit.

Steven Gerrard is said to have been offered a coaching role at Liverpool, which he could begin in a matter of months. (Mirror)

Watching Barca v Seville tonight really showed what we missed on Wednesday. Iniesta!!

Got on the ball, kept it, let Sevilla close him down - then comes out of the press with the ball - all having given his team-mates a much needed breather, and still in possession and another few yards further up the pitch. Real game intelligence and the kind of player we really need.

No doubt. One of the best players in the game over the last 20 years.

We need a deep playing midfielder technically who can keep the ball under pressure. Alonso was never replaced
