PSG are after Coutinho. I've read they're offering £45m.

Give us Lucas Moura and I might consider. Otherwise, no thanks. £45m can be good money but I don't want us to sell if we can avoid it. I'd want at least another season out of him to see what he can do under Klopp. I also don't want us to be seen as a selling club.

Whatever you think of James Milner and/or statistics, the company's he's keeping here suggests he's doing something right!

Absolutely! So many only spot the few errors he makes, and don't really see how darn good he is - the ultimate workhorse for us. Real glad he belongs to us!

Knew this would be coming in from somewhere for him, and it will be interesting to see the reaction of Klopp and the owners. Couts has been odd lately, a bit too quiet for comfort, he may even be angling for an 'out'. Time will tell.

He remains frustratingly inconsistent but is always capable of popping up from nowhere and turning a game for us. I don't think he's ever going to be a player who is always in the game and "on it" - a player of moments rather than matches. If that offer came in, I'd reluctantly take it.

I'll swap them for Willian

So Gotze move well and truly dead?

http://www.express.co.uk/sport/footb...gossip-rumours

But now German magazine SportBild have revealed that Gotze has turned down a move to Liverpool because he believes it would be a step down from Bayern.

His representatives Sports Total were reportedly determined to push through the move but the forward told them he wasn't interested and the difference of opinions led to him sacking his agent.
Kinda explains why the change in agent.

He's allowed a life outside his job, isn't he? He does concentrate on Liverpool, a lot.

Since the formation in 1892. It hasn't been 124 years since we've last won a title and you wouldn't call the anniversary of such a birthday.

With Gotze's persona and the fact Bayern are prepared to let him go, I'm not bothered if the deal is dead frankly - let's focus on players with a bit more hunger, focus and desire to play for us. Just because he's a "name" shouldn't detract from the baggage which we need to consider. Great player if fit and focused but there are probably safer options out there.

As far as I'm concerned, the deal is dead. Klopp doesn't seem like the kind of man who'll tolerate this kind of drama. He'll find an alternative.

Do you concentrate your whole life on the job you do? That's if you're working.

You think the PL was around that long ago?

Apparently we've had a bid for Schalke 04 winger Leroy Sane rejected. Well that's a good thing. I mean a bid rejected is a bid made. That's progress for us.

Klopp's not hanging around is he? If Hector agrees terms, that'll be our 4th signing before the transfer window even opens.

On top of that, it seems we've worked hard trying to capture Gotze and Sane, with varying degrees of success. We'll hopefully have all our business wrapped up before August.

Could Sane be Gotze's alternative? We sign him and leave Firmino behind the striker.

The best part is Klopp's trying to do this before the Euros. Don't want to wait until after the Euros where Hector scores the winning goal and ups his price, then gets bought by someone else.

I also don't want the club to get duped into buying an unknown player who has a good tournament. Senegal's 2002 WC run still haunts me to this day.

Lol I forgot to post the other day about it being the anniversary of us signing Diouf over Anelka.

I really hope this one has some substance to it. Of all the LB's we've been linked with, he's the one I like the look of the most. He seems a solid defender and I'm sure he would help improve our whole back four.
The other two we're supposedly interested in ( Chillwell and Amavi ) both look promising players, but it would be a speculative gamble on potential; And we've already got Smith and Gomez for that.

Does anyone know what the rejected bid amount was for Sane? I've been looking abot more closely at Mane from Southampton and he, again, looks a useful player who get his fair share of goals and assists, but they'd be looking for somewhere close to £25m for him. If we don't want him or get him, I could see him at Everton if Koeman takes the job.

I'm not sure why we're still trying to chase Gotze, surely the circumstances regarding his former agents suggest that deal is blown.

Some of the more credible journalists like Paul Joyce and the Echo are denying the Jonas Hector stuff...

I think if Liverpool are seriously contend to try and Win trophies then they need to pay Klopp enough to solely concentrate on winning as it is now he spends a lot of time advertising Beers and Cars in Europe.

And you seem to spend a lot of time saying stupid stuff.

He spends a lot of time on the club. Managers always spend a lot of time on their club. Most of his time will be spent on Liverpool, or thinking about Liverpool.

He's entitled to a life. And for all you know these beer and car adverts are part of sponsorship deals. He could be doing them as part of a job. What should he be doing right this minute, with no club football, that should prevent him from doing a little advert that he might be contracted to do?

I'm glad your fine with it, but obviously Liverpool aren't paying him enough to concentrate solely on the club,
