Yikes!!! Of course - that would be it. The 15th October must be a significant date for Munch though for that connection to be made...

He'll take that! It's his 49th

Interesting to watch our players today, English and Welsh. They can certainly make an impact.
Enjoyed Sterling too. But for slightly different reasons.

I just pray Sturridge doesn't get injured playing for England.

Skrtel gone to Fernerbahce then, 4.5mill.

Perhaps my post could have given you a bit of a clue - you are usually a bit sharper than that Sloth mate

You know me - I would never forget the date that happened. I know it better than my wedding anniversary - I hope Mrs Alancracker does not see or learn about this

Sadly, I think it is time for him to move on, he's not been great recently.

Matip is coming in, and there are players like Gomez who can play there, so he wasn't likely to be in the first team picture. I imagine two of Matip/Sakho/Lovren will be first choice.

Supposedly Swansea going for Ings, 10mill, and Ibe spotted in a West Ham shirt.

I don't want Ings to go, not at all. He has been working hard, both mentally and physically, to be given a chance to play with us, I reckon he deserves that chance.

I'd be fuming if we let Ings go.

I will tut EXTREMELY loudly if we sell Ings. We need 4 decent forwards at the club. I want to see him try and prove he's good enough, as I believe he's a cracking 2nd/3rd choice striker at the very least.

If Skrtel doesn't get MOTM tonight, something is even more wrong with England than what we can already see. Joe Allen played a stonking match for Wales too.

Skrtel? I thought he was a thug who didn't know how to defend? He's up there with Divock Origi as the worst player ever. Behind Sterling and Mario Balotelli, that is...

Allen is such a fine player. Happy for him and Wales

The Daily Mail has criticised Nathaniel Clyne, claiming he cost his country a penalty by staying on his feet. Clyne, arguably England's MOTM, is being criticised by that shameless rag for not diving!

I'm sure if Hamsik dived and knocked England out they'd have been prepared to praise him for doing what he needed to win the game...and I'm sure they've never criticised players for diving in the past.

How can Jamie Carragher write for these people?

What could you expect from Graham Poll? The man is renowned for letting facts get in the way of a good bit of his own style of fiction. My view of his views posted here would get me a lifelong ban!

Skrtel was good but that kind of defending is where he excels. Defend in the box and just attack the ball.

Where the problems arise for Skrtel is when you want to defend higher up the pitch and the defenders have more space to manage. Skrtel becomes a liability when this is the case as he always wants to drop deep.

If you watch the assist from Allen last night you see Allen take that ball in one touch and turn 180-degrees and turn a defensive situation into an attacking instantly. This is something that none of our other midfielders possess the ability to do so. Anyone else in that situation will take a touch to control the ball and take another two touches to turn.

Two touches to turn instead of one and the chance to split the Russian defence wouldn't have been there. Allen's beautiful turn meant that he took the Russian back four by surprise and they had one less second to prepare for a pass.

I think the club is gonna get a few offers for Allen this summer.

I am increasingly concerned about the Allen situation in that I think he has improved beyond recognition in the last 6 months or so and therefore should be kept with there being a strong case for him being a starter. This has been seen in both his displays for Wales and LFC.

However despite his performances it does seem as if Can and Hendo are seen as first choices in CM with Lucas another option and Gruic (and maybe Zielinski) coming in and so it is hard to see Joe as a starter with all that competition.

So if I was him I would not blame him for leaving - and if he did I think we may regret it - imo none of the 5 in the above paragraph are clearly better than him. My only thought is that Klopp is not an idiot and so I still retain hope that despite the above we will keep him but we will only find out for sure once we see how the summer pans out post Euros

I don't think Allen will go anywhere.
Henderson should.. Sorry, could though...

I don't want to see Joe leave, but, should he go, he will always have a place in the hearts of LFC fans - he's turned into something of an icon with us.

I also don't think Henderson should leave either, in spite of the opinions of others. He, like Joe, is a game changer with an excellent knack for controlling matches and making stunning passes. Hendo is coming back from a long injury spell, and is still a little bit rusty - but it's all there, and the more he plays the better he's getting.

This is when I really wish we were in Europe next season, and could justify keeping/rotating players, but sadly we aren't and we need to gather together an ace squad for the PL. We all just have to trust that Klopp makes the right choices, I don't envy him one bit though!

Think for joe it will be about playing. Even if klopp says he want to keep him I think Allen will ask about game time.

For me has has always been quality. He use to get a raw deal from fans. Like all players he had times where his form dipped but generally he has been a good player for us..

I'm seeing rumours we've agreed a fee for Jonas Hector but nothing reliable yet..

That one seems to have been an on/off affair for a few months now, so it's a wait and see thing. He should be a good replacement for Moreno if we do get him, but Google has this all over the place just now.
