For what it's worth, there's an African Cup of Nations next January. So we're gonna lose Mane for about a month next season.

Mane can be devastating - and we a right-sided player with pace and a goal threat.

Good choice if you can look beyond the price tag.

Roll on 2016/2017!

Oh I don't know, lot of thigh strains in January.
You lot must have to employ a full time script writer for all these "thank you Saints" letters that their ex players supposedly write.

Hopes of Dahoud this summer have diminished due to Gladbach’s determination not to lose him in the same window as Xhaka. ‪#‎lfc‬ (Tony Barrett)

Liverpool remain keen to sign Ben Chilwell and Piotr Zielinski. #lfc (Tony Barrett)

According to SSN, Lucas Moura of PSG is looking the most likely to come to us atm.
23 year old Brazilian right winger - has Couts been chatting to him, both in the national team.

I would love this to happen. Might have to wait until they get a manager though. And dealing with PSG comes with the risk of them coming in for Coutinho. But if Lucas comes then Coutinho should want to stay.

Apparently Skrtel's been found calling Klopp a "********". I really hope this is just a mistranslation or something.

Oh dear…

We’ve spent most of this summer suggesting that while Martin Skrtel should leave Liverpool, he should be congratulated for his eight years of loyal service – and not vilified for his performances last season.

Now, we’re not too sure.

A friend of the defender shared this image on Instagram, and the comments between our centre-back and his pal have been translated for us.

The first hashtag from poster pharrelski means “KloppIsAD*ckhead”. #KloppJeKKT is short for KloppJeKokot. Kokot is slang for ‘D*ickhead’, or ‘Dick’. (Essentially very insulting.)

Skrtel replies, claiming “Last hashtag is TOP”, with a load of smiley faces included, before phrarreslki says: “Hope Jurgen won’t see it.”

Unbelievably, Skrtel responds: “Hope he does!”

Why Skrtel thought a footballer playing for a club like Liverpool could get away with something like this on social media is beyond our understanding.

Obviously the 31-year-old is disappointed and bitter to have fallen down the manager’s pecking order, but to speak about Klopp like this publicly…? Completely out of order.

Thankfully, it looks like Skrtel’s deal to Fenerbahce will be wrapped up this week, and we won’t have to see his criminal brand of defending plague our backline again.

This doesn't sound like something Skrtel would do, so I hope it's not true.

I'd have him over Gotze, much more skillful and pacey player.

Manè is a great player no doubt but he can also go missing for quite a lot of games. I think 36m is over priced same as benteke's was and well carroll's was ridiculous. We really need to stop doing that. No way would any of the other top clubs have paid that.

Crystal Palace have bid £25m for Benteke and are waiting for a response. Further talks are likely. #LFC (Paul Joyce)

They're the one club I don't want Benteke going to. Crystal Palace have a habit of getting a result against us. Benteke has a habit of scoring against us. They'd be a good fit.

We can do better than £25m. Be the club to hold others to ransom for a change.

I read the club want £30m. Think they will be lucky to get that.

If it was me I would accept £25m.

Well done Wales and and well done Joe Allen.

Another great performance by him.

Collymore's given the MOTM to Joe Allen and rightly so. It's players like him who make teams from a collection of individuals. The Pro Evo generation just don't seem to appreciate that. Well done Joe.

A terrific player. A proper midfield player. Rarely gives it away and doesn't need to take too many touches.

His class.

£25m wouldn't be a bad return at all.

Maybe we can push Palace to increase the bid, but by £5m? I'm not sure. If they're prepared to throw that kind of money around they could easily go elsewhere.

Oh, and I'd love us to sign Lucas Moura. Whenever I've seen him (not much to be fair) it's like watching Walcott but with actual technical ability.

Ah, yes Mkhitaryan, the player who rejected us to go to Dortmund, who didn't work under Klopp and his system, who only started playing well when Klopp left Dortmund...

I'm not losing sleep over that one. He might work well under Mourinho but he wouldn't have worked here.

Ibra is 34 and earning £200,000+ per week at our rivals. Crazy money for a guy who is losing his legs.

Don't get me he is a fantastic player but he I wouldn't be happy if we signed him on that kind of money.

Ibra is old and he wouldn't work in our side. He hasn't got pace, doesnt press and far to static. His a quality player but not for us. That kind of money can be spent elsewhere.

Liverpool legend and best player of all time El Hadji Diouf has had some (more) things to say about Gerrard and Carragher, as he comments on fellow Senegalese international Sadio Mané.

“Mane has to be worried about nothing. Today you don’t have a bad mentality at Liverpool like Steven Gerrard or Jamie Carragher. You don’t have a bad mentality any more, people to like only themselves.

“Right now they have a good coach with a good mentality. Sadio stayed at Southampton for two years before he signed for Liverpool. He’s not like me, when I came to Liverpool I came to work in my car to work and I came from outside England. He’s been in England for two years now so for him it will be more easy.”

have said this before regarding getting players when not in champions league.

Money is what players care about more than anything.

So Liverpool won't sell benteke for less than 30m. Will any club actually pay that for a player that barely featured in first team since his arrival?

Zlatan only comes to life when the ball comes to him and is pretty static otherwise - another Balotelli or Benteke but with more class. He'll do good things for United but there will be times when his Berbatovian traits will frustrate - like constantly getting offside or slowing down their attack.

We wouldn't get the best out of him in a Klopp system that's for sure. And he was on €18m a year at PSG - Cantu £300K a week so unless he's taken a major pay cut that's crazy money for a player of his age that is better spent elsewhere.

Dom King:

Liverpool's bid to sign Piotr Zelinski reaches deadlock. Udinese accept £9.2m bid from Napoli but have rejected an identical @LFC offer

Paul Joyce also saying the same thing.

He's still young and a top quality player in the correct system. Ours is not it (unfortunately) for him.
