He looks very special, so tall for an 18 year old, very elegant, but some dammed good moves on the ball, want to see more of him. Mane is looking the real deal too.

Before tonight he wasn't one of the standout youngsters for me but he certainly is now.

Delighted for Danny Ings, hope he can stay injury free and get a good run in the team this season.

Well I might as well have watched the match last night...

Glad to read Ejaria impressed.

Also glad, of course, to read about Ings and Mané. Hopefully Ings can stay injury-free, and I'm looking forward to seeing Mané prove people wrong.

He's not a bad player but more of the same old same old, he's not going to take us from mid table to top 4, average at best and that's the problem with our signing. I appreciate we are out of Europe which will not make us attractive but we continue to buy average signings and then wonder why it all goes wrong, its bloody obvious why its going wrong, our league table position reflects the quality of our players = average.

A wide player who can score one in three isn't average - Klopp's been tracking Mane since the last Olympics for a reason. Our poor league form over the last two seasons has been down to one main reason for me - having our best striker out for large clunks of the season and the likes of Balotelli and Benteke being misfits as replacements. Our defence is pretty much stayed consistently questionable since the season we finished 2nd but finally looks to be about to improve.

You're always going to moan like a few of the other resident grouches here but realism has got to play a part. We can't attract a teamfull of CL quality players and won't pay the ludicrous salaries some non-CL teams are paying. We have, however, got a quality manager who can take this team places given a fair chance and better luck with injuries.

I think our squad as a whole is definitely top dots quality (at least). Compare with last season's top 3 - are we really a million miles away player for player? I honestly don't think so. Let's give Klopp a full season to prove that.

Yes, it is good news, but it should never have happened in the first place, WADA deemed the hearing so unimportant they didn't even show up.

Sakho would have every right to feel hard done by, but no, his FB page: (Translated from French).

The truth always ends up triumph!
I can finally express myself freely and I would first like to thank you all for the confidence and the support that you've given me during these two and a half months! You've been there for me ‪#‎YNWA‬, I'll always be there for you to continue to give the best of myself on the ground!!
I also wanted to congratulate my guy from the Équipe de France de Football for this amazing journey! You make us dream, we vibrates with you!
Go Blue, go France!!!!! ‪#‎Fiersdetrebleus‬

Class!

This post is somewhat

Maybe the best question to ask you is who would you have liked to have seen us buy?

Also can I remind you of Leicester last season - who went from bottom half to top so football is a game when anything can happen and this can be seen in looking at Dortmund and others too in recent years - and after all we do have the ex Dortmund manager in charge!! These teams are built around the philosophy of team with a capital T which has always been the Liverpool way anyway and is a reason why Klopp fits with us so well - we do not sign superstars with big egos, we sign players who can fit into the team ethic.

No LFC fan with any sense is jumping up and down and saying we'll win the league or anything but speaking for myself I am happy that the club is in good hands, our signings so far are decent, no player has left (so far!!) who I want us to keep and we have an outstanding manager in charge. Therefore i am confident that next season will at least be better league wise (the most important thing) than last and you never know what we might achieve - especially with a full Klopp pre season and no Europe to tire us out - one of the reasons why we did so well in 2014 apart from having a certain Uruguayan playing for us was not playing in Europe.

So come on lets at least start the season optimistic - and also before we evaluate the squad lets actually wait till the end of the window to see all the ins and outs at our club, I sense there is a lot more to happen yet

Taken from FB, which was taken from elsewhere:

Nathaniel Clyne finished ‪#‎EURO2016‬ as the most creative right back with 7 chances created. He played one game. ONE GAME. ‪#‎LFC‬

Good for him. Underplayed, but think that in a sly way worked out in the end.

Yeah, it made him look better, at least. He was exempt from all the criticism. He played well in the one game he played. It's kinda unfortunate that the game he played in was Slovakia, but he did what he was meant to do.

39 year old goalkeeper Alex Manninger is close to being signed by Liverpool to be our third-choice goalkeeper. Used to play for Arsenal, was an understudy to David Seaman.

His experience might be handy.

Tony Barrett and James Pearce are reporting this, so it's happening.

Shows how much we rate Adam Bodgan.

Absolutely no way that Manninger is only 39.

I refuse to believe that he's a day under 57.

Yeah that's surprised a few people. I was tempted to post this in the topic about footballers you thought had retired.

He's been at FC Augsburg between 2012-2016, and we played them last season in the Europa League. Just checked, he wasn't in the squad. At least for the away game.

Ibe's on his way to Bournemouth for £15m.

Good bit of business, I think. I didn't see anything on buy-back clauses.

Sadly it didn't work out the way people thought it would, but with no Europe this season he wasn't going to get a great deal of play time unless he was able to make the step up.

Played for Arsenal in 1998!!! Same year Gerrard made his debut for us wasn't it:
Klopp will be bolstering the squad with Stevie G, Carra and Fowler next LOL.

By the start of next season, it'll be 3. Karius as number one, Mignolet as number two and Maninger as number 3. Bogdan will be sold, and Ward is on loan at Huddersfield.

And hopefully next season, we'll sell Mignolet and Maninger on, and Ward will return ready to be our permanent number two.

Brendan just lost his first game as manager of Celtic against the champions of Gibraltar.

Still, I expect he thought the group were terrific and controlled possession
