That'll do for a start. Plenty to work on in defence, protecting those single goal margins and building on themagainst the so called less fashionable clubs is what will have us finishing high up the table come May.

Feel sorry for Wenger as the get rid calls will no doubt start up again now. How about some AFC supporters try a number of seasons without CL football before they complain.

I really wish they'd stop doing that bloody passing about with Migs, and him dribbling with it, can see us losing a few goals from that.

Shame we conceded so many really. This could've been a real statement of intent to go to Arsenal and win by 3 clear goals, but alas, focus will now be on our shaky defence rather than our incredible attack.

Still, a marvellous 3 points and a difficult fixture out of the way early. Considering we've only won at the Emirates once before, you've gotta be chuffed overall with that.

Err, we've bought 2. Considering that he's 4th (maybe even 5th) choice, Klavan hasn't done too bad. His distribution from the back is very slow and cumbersome though.

Once Sakho and Gomez return from injury, and Matip gets back to full fitness, we'll look a different outfit completely. The only concern is LB.

Honestly don't see the club signing another CB. Klopp has signed two this summer.

Just don't see him signing a third. Actually I would say it would be pretty worrying and ridiculous if klopp signed another.

We have enough CB's at the club. How many do people want.

Its still a good win at Arsenal though

Delighted to hold on and beat Arsenal on first day of season but clearly a few problems need to be sorted out. Yes Moreno was at fault a few times in first half but none of second half goals were his fault so that needs looking at and working on.

I really am loving watching Mane, he's a great talent. Heard so many people say he's great going forward but can't finish... Well, What a goal he scored!

Yeah he played well Mane, could turn out to be a good signing that.

Perfect start for us. Can we do it again next week against Burnley though?

You'd think that but one thing I've noticed is we can beat Arsenal one week and get stuffed by Burnley the next. That's always been our problem, no consistency to our results

We have to be delighted with the points away at arsenal. And we really had to take them considering they had a relatively weak team out.
A very poor first half performance was made up for with a collection of stunning second half goals. We still need to tidy up or defending, ask three goals conceded were pretty cheap and that last fifteen minutes was very uncomfortable watching. With all due respect to Milner, he's not an answer to the LB situation and if we're not going to buy a specialised fullback, then why did we let Flanno go out?

Hope Coutinho is only suffering some cramp and is OK, but if he dies need a week off at least we have players to cover that position. Looking forward to perhaps seeing Matip and Sturridge back next week.

Good result. Closer than it should of been but it's a win away @ Arsenal. Can't complain.

Bit ridiculous to blame the Centre backs for the goals. The only one you could argue was in there area to deal with was chambers goal and that was a fantastic delivery.

Yeah I was just about to post about the goals and ask someone to explain how the CB's were at fault for any goals today.

None of the goals were down to them.

Clyne and Lallana really poor on Ox's goal.

True. That was a really messy, scrappy, ugly goal that shouldn't really have existed, but gave Arsenal the momentum and belief to chase the game. To come so soon after our 4th destroyed all comfort we could have had.

Lallana also has to take SOME blame for the first. Moreno is mainly at fault for being so far up the pitch, but Lallana loses it so cheaply in the middle of our half there.

Other than that, I thought Lallana had a very good game. His goal was really well taken, and he was drifting past players and laying off passes rather neatly. There was a filthy little flick at one day to find Firmino in the Arsenal box. Such a skillful player.

Looking at the goal again I think lovren was possibly bit weak once Chamberlain shot.

Other players would throw there body in the way. He just turned away and the ball comes off his foot.

Bit harsh but think lovren could have been more brave.

Chamberlain should have never been allowed to get in that position from out wide though

Good news, Coutinho isn't injured. It was just a cramp.

Simon Mignolet's penalty record for Liverpool is now the best in Premier League history

Better get rid now then before he loses the record

It'd be a good selling point.

I'd gladly take us shading it 0-1 after some of the defending today. Going to have to improve the set piece defence, especially when they have Sam Volkes as an aerial threat.

I don't see Liverpool beating Burnley next week, think it will be a score draw.

For you guys to beat a top 4 side away is a tremendous achievement, you should enjoy it. Well done!

I don't know if you intended it this way, but this post comes off as hugely patronising.

Thanks buddy.
