Key players not in the team either due to injury or not being chosen and we still go to Arsenal and score 4 = love the attacking options and style of play. I can't decide which was our best goal - 1 or 4 probably but the other 2 were good too. Mane to me was the biggest plus as i see him being a key player for us, Coutinho's 2 goals make him worth a place just for them - yes i admit for me to suggest leaving him out was wrong but he has to keep on making telling contributions like this.He has so much talent that for him to have anonymous games as he often did last season is a criminal waste of talent. Wij was OK but today 4 of our best players in Origi, Sturridge, Gruic and Can hardly featured and Milner too so we do have strength in depth

Defense = more of a worry, Moreno and the LB position particularly. How often does he have to mess up before Klopp takes some action? - we need to at least get a good alternative in or preferably just get a replacement. I do like Klavan as i think he is a proper defender - which is his job!! - and will give us stability and mostly Lovren is good too. I look forward to seeing Matop when his match fitness is up to scratch but for sure we have good choices here and no new CBs are needed. Maybe Mig could have done better with 2 of their goals but he did save a pen so we cannot be too harsh. Hopefully lessons about maintaining concentration will have been learnt and if we ever get into ta similar position then we will keep the gap better as at the end it was a bit nerve racking

Cresswell is a scouser.

For God's sake.

Sign him now. Please. Now.

He signed a new 5 year deal last June. West Ham are not selling unless they get a silly offer.

Can pretty much say that's not gonna happen.

Klopp's ‪#‎LFC‬ covered 117.6km today, the most distance of any EPL team since camera tracking was introduced (via @SimonBrundish)

I am heartbroken

Benteke and £15ish million - that's pretty silly, right?

Yes, but how much of that distance was Moreno running around like a headless chicken

More seriously, that's Klopp's stye of football. It takes it's toll as the season goes on and pitches get heavier, and one of the reasons he has a reputation for high injury counts. Maybe that explains why we have so many midfielders; because he knows we'll need them.

It may also explain why Arsenal let their grass grow longer than the norm - to slow us down, didn't work though!!

No European football could be an even bigger benefit than first thought then!

Yeah, we need to get that consistency, as do it time and time again, beat one of the teams at the top one week, then get stuffed off one of the ones at the bottom the following.

No doubt..

Missing out on the EL was the best thing to happen for us this year.

Aaron Cresswell would have been an amazing shout if he hadn't signed that contract. I really rate him, but West Ham would probably hold out on an offer of over £30 million, or something daft. Unattainable this summer I'm afraid.

I feel like we should put in a cheeky bid for Ben Davies. He's clearly below Danny Rose in the Spurs pecking order, and he's a very talented young left back.

EDIT: A few sources are claiming that we're close to agreeing a deal for Fabio Coentrao. None of these sources are reliable though (I think 90mins broke it so....you know), so I'd wait for an actual credible journalist to report it before even thinking about taking it seriously.

No European competition is good for our chances of finishing top 4 but Chelsea also have that advantage with a strong squad and spending power. Predictions are foolhardy but most would expect Leicester not to finish in the CL spots from last season's teams that qualified.
It could well turn out to see Arsenal, Spurs and ourselves battling for 4th with the Manchester clubs and Chelsea a likely top 3 in any order.

Do posters think that Klopp will go with mostly youth and a bit of experience in the domestic cups again this season? Depending on how long we last in them of course.
We saw a stronger side than in earlier rounds during the league cup semis and final last term. It was also a very young side that got knocked out of the FA Cup with the last kick of the game at West Ham in extra time.

Joe Hart seems to be on his way out of Man City

I think Klopp should snap him up, as Mignolet is still not good enough

And if we can get a quality keeper like Hart, we can qualify for the top four

We've already signed a GK.

Moreno will be kept as first choice left back. No left back will be bought. [Joyce]

Klopp seems to like him, thinks he can coach his issues out of him. Problem is he's lacking a brain, he doesn't have the football intelligence, something that I don't think you can fix with coaching.

I remember saying a couple weeks ago, not sure if I said it here, too, that I can see Klopp giving him another chance, maybe waiting until January to see how he does. Guess that's what's happening. It's not a financial issue, either, we have the money, Klopp is just preferring to stick by Moreno.

Oddly to some, I'm inclined to agree on this one. Moreno is a dammed good player with a great turn of speed, he just needs to go back to the classroom and learn the technicalities of the game. If that could be mastered he could be something very special, and I don't think it's impossible to instill game sense in him. If Klopp feels he can sort him, then he will.

I'm not too bothered about it, to be honest. I do like Moreno, but he can be a liability, and for now he's a bit of a weak link until he can sort his game out.

On Sunday, I think part of the problem for the first goal, thinking about it, is Moreno's speed. I think he was waiting to go on a counter attack, and with his speed he was too far out when we were got in trouble and paid the price for it. His error recovery is great, but the problem is seeing how great it is so often because of how often he makes mistakes, and his pace also gets him out of a lot of trouble.

If he can become a more intelligent player then great, I don't really think that can be coached, though. If he had someone at the back to keep him in line we'd be fine. Carragher would sort him. Maybe if he had Lovren next to him he'd be better, but for now he's on the right.

I'm happy to persist with him for now, and it's Klopp so I trust he knows what he's doing. He's probably confident of his ability as a coach to sort this.

I'm also considering the difference between Moreno and Balotelli. He's persisting with Moreno while not even going to bother with Balotelli. He seems to think he can coach the mistakes out of Moreno, but Balotelli's issues and lack of discipline makes him a waste of time. He has no time for time wasters, yet he believes in Moreno.

Too soon to tell. But it doesn't matter, he's been brought in, probably as first choice when he's fit. We aren't going to be signing another keeper anytime soon. Next keeper we buy, if any, would be Mignolet's replacement as backup if he leaves.

Seems we helped him calm his nerves before breaking the world record in spectacular fashion. Can LFC claim that gold as we haven't won anything for a few years

In a different league but what was Moreno's record at giving away fouls and pens like when he was at Sevilla?
Slower paced league than the PL but he definitely needs to learn some composure and fast.

Who knows but signing another keeper wouldn't exactly help him.

Remember when Houllier signed Kirkland and Dudek at he the same time. Was a ridiculous thing to do.

On Moreno some things can be taught but I don't think awareness, intelligence and defensive instincts can be.

His brain just wonders onto something else.
