Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Matip, Lovren, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Mane, Coutinho, Firmino.

Subs: Manninger, Grujic, Moreno, Lucas, Sturridge, Origi, Stewart.

I have to say, that's not the team I'd have picked. I think, despite last week at Burnley, I would have started Sturridge; he's just too dangerous to ignore if he's fit.

Other worries: Milner at LB having to deal with the likes of Lamela and Delle Alli. And with Dier and Wanyama, their midfield looks quite strong, not sure that Hendo, Lallana and Wij are a good match for them.

Definitely a day for 100% effort all through the team.

Worry about the lack of ball winner in midfield. Would rather go with Stewart over Henderson.

Dunno how we can leave our best Goal scorer on the bench.

Or maybe even Gruic over both of them - altho I am not sure how much of a ball winner he is.

I am with taurus it is not the team I would have picked with Hendo and Wijnaldum who are both off form continuing, I would want Origi playing not Firmino (but maybe he is not 100% fit), and I am quite pro Klavan and yes I admit he was shaky V Burnley but then so was everyone. It will be interesting to see what Matip is like in a truer test today - I liked him V Burton - and Milner as a full back is no long term solution - but hey ho - Mane is there and Coutinho if effective (which he is in about half his matches) could be a big factor so lets hope it goes well.

We need a good start.- ie high pressing from the off, no early goals conceded and then grow into the game offensively.

Yeah I don't mind Firmino but not convinced his a 9. It will help with have Mane's pace but it just seems strange to leave the best finisher on the bench.

Firmino will press though which is important. We still lack a deep playing midfielder player. All box to box players.

Crazy pace at the start of this game.

Firminho sets up Coutinho who really should've scored but puts it straight at Vorm in the goal.

First set piece to defend and Mig makes a good save from an Erikkson free kick.

Followed by the first corner to defend and we've managed to get that one away.

Lovren's hand looked up for no reason in the box then.Need to see it again in slow but could've been a pen.

Loren easily shoved off the ball by Kane. We scramble back then go close again at Spurs end.

Hope we can avoid too many Spurs set pieces, or Lovren will likely give away a pen for pulling Kane's shirt.

Why was that not given. The ref saw it and warned the defender rather than make the big decision

Time to start turning this heavy possession into goals very quickly.

Playing well so far but haven't got that all important opening goal. If we don't get it soon I fear what might happen.

He has to balance it up by letting one of our players off with a talking to now surely?

Coutinho looks to have finished off Walker with his pace
