We havn't played too bad that half, could have been a few up by now, if it wasn't for Coutinho missing that sitter, and we got that blatant pen, still, we are 1 up though, so can't grumble at that.
Good first half, we were the better side, I thought, though Michel Vorm has made it difficult for us. We'll be lucky to finish this game with 11 men with the way the ref is going.
Then the half is finished off with a penalty from the best left back in the league.
We need more up front, though, I'd get Sturridge on if possible, but then it'd come at the cost of Firmino. But Sturridge (or Origi) and Mané could cause some real problems.
We played well that half and haven't allowed them much time on the ball. Hope we can keep it up, maybe our subs will be important later on to keep fresh legs in midfield.
Of course we should be even more in control by having at least one more goal on the board. Dare I say that Sturridge would have bagged that Coutinho chance.
Mane very much the best man on the park, he just needs to be careful he doesn't get himself a second silly booking ( same for Coutinho ) . And the defenders need to be very careful now, the ref has given them the benefit of doubt and he might not give them a second chance.
Clearly set out to choke Spurs in midfield with all our players working back so that justifies leaving Sturridge out - he'll probably come on if Spurs are still chasing the game after an hour or so.
Milner already stacking up the goals and assists this season
