Seems we we have joined the ranks of having disgruntled players not playing. Sakho has taken to the ranks today on Snapchat, and I see no way Klopp will stand for this -
“Still working hard like Scouse Soldier! Still not talking cos I want speak on pitch.. I will speak soon for the people who support me and don’t understand the situation.
“Still happy to live in my “Liverpool Country” with my family, hope to have chance to play soon to give my best like I try to do always!
“I accept my situation but I can’t accept the lie… The fans deserve to know the true! Thanks for your support.”
Klopp will wake up to the news of Sakho’s social media messages – on the morning of a home game when the manager has called for a positive atmosphere throughout the club. The manager will be furious.
Sakho has an odd definition of "still not talking" when he is issuing 3am Snapchats. My guess is it is doubly psychologically tough to be the best paid player in a squad position and not getting a game. Similar to the Sturridge/Origi situation.
In an effort to contain things in one of his recent pc's Klopp talked of picking players on what they can contribute to the game in hand rather than not picking players for their supposed deficiences. It's a hallmark of his technique for positivity.
I'm disappointed to read that from Sakho, I thought better off him then to resort to the cryptic social media nonsense,
Granted, I don't know what he's talking about, and I admit I'm curious what he thinks his position is, but it really shouldn't be any surprise regarding his current status within the squad; it was made crystal clear to him in august that he should consider playing somewhere else this season.
It's funny how we kept playing well against the bigger clubs (and whatever Chelsea and Leicester are), and people were saying "but you need to beat the likes of Hull" before they'll take us seriously. The fact that we've had to wait this long to beat a smaller team before we can be taken seriously because of our start to the season is a little funny, too.
Well, 3-0 at half-time against Hull. With the way we're playing I don't see us throwing away the lead. Will we have proven a point then? Or will the fact that they had a man sent off be a black mark against us somehow?
These doubts were from both non-Liverpool fans and Liverpool fans. Liverpool fans were the worst, trying to ruin people enjoying beating Chelsea by saying "let's beat Hull first", as if their enjoyment was conditional.
In other news, that's another goal, and I believe, another assist from Lallana. He had everything else in his game except an end product, and now he's adding both goals and assists to his game...from midfield!
Job done, totally dominant, plenty of silky football and +4 on the goal difference; it doesn't come much better then that.
If I were to offer any criticism it would be that if like to see our central strikers get in among the goals a bit more. That's perhaps a bit churlish considering our focus during the summer was to add more goals from around the pitch.
Well that was a nice, comfortable win! Lallana continues to impress, Hendo played well again, Milner was great as usual, Mané has continued his great start, and, best of all, we beat Hull!
It's starting to look like the Burnley result was the exception, a bad day at the office, rather than a typical post-big-game result and an example of our inconsistency.
Swansea away next, they aren't playing great at the moment, so if we mean business this season we should beat them, too.
I heard some fans chanting "we're gonna win the league". Bit early for that, don't you think? At the moment it does look like we'll be challenging. Hopefully Swansea or Man United (at Anfield) don't upset our good run. After all, we supposedly struggle against the little teams.
