Crazy first half and just daft defending again.
We'll need to score again because I still fully expect Benteke to find the net at some point.

I'm not liking this, we are a different team second half.

Bobby has this thing where he'll pull his shirt up halfway, then remember it's a booking if he takes his shirt off so will keep it on. He always does this...

...except today!

Beautiful finish by Firmino. Familiar name on the scoresheet! Nice to have a two goal lead, bit more comfortable watching it now.

And now Mane's missed a sitter. This has been an incredibly frustrating half.
Did you ever ignore me and put Firmino in your fantasy side?

Though in my defence, I said outta Coutinho and Firmino I'd have Firmino.

Firmino's in. I don't know what's worth more though, his one goal or Coutinho's 2 assists

Lallana is also in, but alas...

I still think Firmino is the better fantasy player than Coutinho, he's more consistent and when he's on his game he tends to be really good. If Coutinho was more consistent then he'd be the better option.

Problem with Firmino is he's often a key contributor in goals, without actually scoring or getting assists, which would make him an annoying fantasy player.

Mane hasn't had his best game, but I guess when your big summer signing has a quiet game and you still score 4, you can't complain!

I thought Mane was very good today actually. Lallana had a quiet game and even Firmino at times was quiet IMO

Important win to keep pace at the top, very winnable fixtures coming up so I hope we can keep it going.

Coutinho was immense

Mane was excellent bar his finishing, which on this occasion was dreadful.

You know who had a belter game? Moreno. Can't really fault him for either goal, and offensively he contributed a lot. This is the player we were hoping we signed 2 years ago, and hopefully if he plays again, he'll keep it up.

4-2! Wasn't the slip up that people feared. It was a potential slip up, it's Crystal Palace, and at their ground. That's a big win for us because of how often we've dropped points to this side. I think it could make the next match against them easier, knowing that we can beat them. If we can stop them being our bogey side then I'll be happy.

First half was a blitzkrieg riot. Four on the score sheet. Another good win. Moreno played better than normal and Hendo settled well into his position now. Can looks like he's carrying a bit of timber!

All things considered, an excellent result and we're still pushing the points total with the pace setters.

Moreno deserves credit. Another superb pass by Henderson for the 4th too. Didn't relax until 90 seconds of stoppage time left but very happy now. Phew.

So, 10 games gone now and the PL table might be taking shape in a similar pattern for the rest of the season. I could see the top three being the same clubs it is now come May, hopefully we'll be taking the place of City. They and Arsenal in excellent form but do have the European commitments we are without in the long run. Chelsea will also have that benefit and I expect them to be up there.

On the field tonight, we are making the same old defensive mistakes but are thankfully rectifying them within the 90minutes of a game. Our attack is sizzling and if we can only sort out that back four then we won't be far off the finished article.

I think Palace away tomorrow could be the type of game where you guys lose the title. If you can pick up 3 points tomorrow, I might start to believe your time has come at last. It's a big test. For what it's worth, Paul Merson predicts a 1-1 draw.
I have both plus mane and for once I'm ahead of my sons

We've had by far the trickier fixtures too. The North London derby next week means one of those two teams or both will drop more points. Got to hoover up the points in our relatively serene fixture list for the next two months.
