A few so called fans on another forum I look at are focusing on how Sturridge doesn't look fully concentrated on the game

All over, top of the league

Can't believe I'm disappointed that we only got six! Very enjoyable match, shame it's international break now though.

Don't care too much about not keeping clean sheet. Yes it would have been nice but when we score so many goals it really doesn't matter.

Happy with that, thought the commentator was poo, and the ref started off being a right div too, but to them both - we won and got another +5 on our GD.

Some sublime attacking football there. What a display! Watford showed up with a bit of fight in them and so our start wasn't as good as usual, and it would have been so easy to choke with the opportunity to go 1st within our grasp. Klopp's got this group so focused though.

Lallana, Mane, Firmino, Coutinho, how do you pick a MOTM from those 4? All were fantastic. Can is also providing great support from deep which makes me happy because some fans have called his quality into question recently.

Love Wijnaldum grabbing his first goal for us. He looked so happy! Shame for Sturridge not to get on the scoresheet; an unbelievable save from Pantilimon denied his lovely curling strike from outside the box.

Going into the international break at the top of the league. Can't ask for more than that. Now we sit and hope everyone comes back injury-free!

That has done our goals scored and goal difference a power of good.

Top scorers with 30 goals scored v Chelsea 2nd best with 26 and goal difference of 16 only bettered by Chelsea with 17.

Oh, and top of the table. I nearly forgot that.

There is a long way to go in the season but I would have happily taken this back in August.

Can is improving he is one I always pick on to be fair, looking good all around.

Almost. Couldn't believe the stat that United are the only team to take a point away from Anfield this season. You've got your fortress back.

Quite honestly, can anyone name a player that was bad today, because I can't! Even the goal they scored was not the fault of Karius - he has to be yearning for that elusive clean sheet to happen for him. Henderson was brilliant as captain, and it's oh so good to see him back to being the player we know he can be. I would seriously have a problem trying to come up with anyone who didn't give their very best today, proud of them all!

You might wanna create a trophy for that, as that's all you're gonna get this season.

Its the first time for a while I've seen us play a team who look like scoring every time they come forward.

Sometimes you have a team like Arsenal who over play or Spurs might rely on one or two forward players but you've got 4/5.

Exactly how football should be played - exciting and attacking.

I bet guessing the first goal scorer is tricky!

I went for Firmino 19 minutes for my BetVictor prediction. If I was a regular BetVictor punter, and had earned the three predictions after betting £50, I still don't think I'd have won.

The best thing about the first goal, though, is that it came from a corner. AGAIN! Looks like we've been practicing those corners in training.

Not so elusive as he played in the bore draw with Utd!!

I was confused as to why Couts was taking the corners, and not Milner. Then I clicked that they had been really working hard on set pieces leaving Couts unmarked to run in on goal. It worked well today!

I love watching Liverppol at the moment. But we need to keep clean sheets as well

As I said on the world class players thread I am not prepared to debate if any of our best players are world class or not and frankly it does not matter much but we do have one person at our club who is definitely world class - the manager. I would have him over any other manager in the world quite frankly. He is such a good fit for our club and he is the main reason why we are playing so well. He has every player playing at their max (today and V CPFC I could not pick out any player who did not play well) and has a style of play which most PL teams cannot cope with. It requires great fitness to pull off - but cos his training methods are so good we can pull it off. The players all look like they love playing for LFC right now. I think if offers do come in for any of them then they should think very carefully over whether it would be a good idea to go cos with Klopp in charge the future only looks bright for us. But the thing is that we have options outside of the first choices so even if someone left or someone goes to the African Cup of Nations or gets injured or whatever then I don't think we would be weakened that much.

A very good time to be a LFC fan right now. Happy days indeed.

Missed a load of chances, even Sturridge hit the bar twice when he came on, we should have had at least 10.

That's the thing though, we got 17 shots on target and I think +3 hitting the post - that is pretty dam good going. We just need to get more behind the goalkeeper instead of letting him play catch!

Another brilliant game from us. Enjoyed every minute of it. Credit Watford for not giving it up they kept trying but we were simply irresistible.

All players did a great job to be fair. Coutinho just edging out Can for my MOTM.

Darn internationals again now though!

If Klopp can keep everyone happy we really do have a good squad of players now.

Good to see Sturridge so involved after coming on to. He's the one I see being the hardest to keep happy.

Top of the table and GD greatly improved - great stuff.

I'm not a Liverpool supporter (Newcastle so nothing to do with you guys other than enjoying our ridiculously high scoring games!)

However after watching Sturridge yesterday, me and my friends were discussing him and think he's rather 'ball greedy', to use a term from my jumpers for goalposts days. It seemed every time he had the ball he wanted to shoot, didn't care about players in a better position and wasted a good few opportunities to get more goals. Players like Coutinho and Firmino were always looking for that pass...the one elusive one, whereas Sturridge wanted the ball at his feet and that was it.

Just keen to get the Liverpool fans verdict on him?

Sturridge has always been classed as a bit greedy on the ball, I think that's common knowledge. But right now he has to be if he wants to have any chance to play regular and stay with LFC. He knows that he's going to get very few chances to get on the pitch and show his value to us now, so I don't blame him a bit for being greedy - he really has no other option.

We currently have 10 players who have scored goals this season - more than any other team, that's what he he is competing against, so it's dammed tough for him. I was willing him to get that elusive goal - but the poor bloke hit the post twice instead - gutting for him, he won't get too many chances like yesterday.

I would love to see him get back the form we all know is in him, preferably while he's still with us!

Just my opinions btw, others may have different views.

Here's a fun stat:

Coutinho has as many MOTM awards (5) as Man United have won league games so far this season.

Assuming this is true, but I can believe it.

I agree he can be greedy for sure. However I'm ok with that as we often try and pass the ball in the net at times so having a greedy player fits quite well.

I wanted to see Sturridge come on once we had the game won v Watford and he did well when he came on, 2 shots at the bar and 2 saves from the keeper.

I fully understand why he is not an automatic starter for us the way we are playing but I hope Klopp can keep him happy as he is a great option for us.

My only gripe with him was his injuries but we are certainly not over playing him now and he seems niggle free.

Will he remain happy if his situation (not first choice starter) continues ....hmmm not sure.

BIB - not sure i agree with that!! - I don't think him being greedy will impress Klopp, I do think being a team player will - as that is what Klopp is all about. Team > individuals. as I have said before I do have doubts in my mind as to whether he will stay long term at LFC being a bit part player as if he moved at most teams he would be an automatic starter.

Thing is tho if we got an injury or one of the first choices was out for any other reason then he would play almost every match and these doubts would disappear. I do not feel i fully know what is going on in his head - he said as much once about 6 months ago when he commented that he reads what he is supposed to be thinking and it is actually nothing like that with people putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.

The other thing is it is clear Klopp wants him there and so the only question is does Daniel himself want to be there - only he can answer that.

PS I feel Origi has at least as much of a case for getting games as Sturridge- but nobody questions that - maybe the difference is that Origi is younger and so can bide his time more but on form if we have a forward out or if we need to make a substitution for Klopp to choose between Origi and Sturridge on their current form can't be easy as both can make major contributions. But its a nice problem to have - 2 quality options outside of our first choice team and those in the team know they have to keep playing as they are or they will be out.
