Barkley is a bigger hacker than the Russian Government.

Eight minutes of injury time.

Massive win and another clean sheet in the league.

2nd at Christmas, I certainly would've taken that at the start of the season. Would rather be closer than six points behind Chelsea but all good.

Merry Xmas Redmen and Women one and all

That's the best way to win a derby. A spawny 94th minute tap in after a weak shot from distance trickles against the post. Love it.

In seriousness though, Everton deserved NOTHING from this game. Drab, uninspired, mediocre shite. They played decently enough for the first 35 minutes, but after that they were content to sit back and take the draw. They had no interest in attacking us in the 2nd half and they became the reincarnation of a Tony Pulis side. They deserved what they got.

Fantastic result and second half performance from us. I think we definitely deserved the win in the end, even if we took a while to turn up and it wasn't the most entertaining derby there's been.

But the week we've had makes the ridiculous 5 points we practically flushed down the toilet against Bournemouth and West Ham that more frustrating.

Fair play to Henderson, says in the post match interview that he feels Barkley mistimed the tackle. Says they are mates off the field but that is forgotten in a derby. They shook hands and Barkley apologised after the final whistle.

Not sure how he would've felt if we didn't win though

It was never going to be pretty but we rode the key first 25 minutes out, Everton ran out of ideas and legs and we kept going for a winner, despite not looking that cohesive up front. Special mention for the defence, who kept their heads and kept Lukaku quiet.

Job well done lads.

I'm not a fan of Barkley and, although he should have had a straight red, I was glad he was not sent off.

Had he been sent off, a 10 man Everton would have parked the bus even more and it would probably have ended as a 0 - 0 draw.

Did you see the hug he gave Daniel Sturridge at the end and the huge smile on Danny's face?

It is hard to believe there are any bad feelings there.

We may lose Sturridge in January but it will not be because of Jurgen Klopp but because Danny wants more starts and more game time.

I hope he stays.
