I feel like this has been one of our more impressive wins this season. We went 1-0 down to a poor goal, but the effortlessness with which we've turned it around has been incredible. It doesn't feel like we ever got out of 3rd gear, but we've still come away with a 4-1 win. Brilliant.

Great stuff. Didn't feel we played too well tonight but it goes to show that we can now win comfortably, even when not at our best.

Still Matip and Coutinho to come back to the squad too, exciting times!

Not quite revenge for the 6-1 but it'll do. They gave us a bit of a shock in the first 20 minutes.

Need Southampton to do us a favour against Spurs tomorrow and maintain that 7 point gap to 5th.

45 goals, if we keep doing this we have a chance come on Chelsea you're due a bad run.
I've had a look at their games and it gets interesting.

Stoke H
Spurs A
Champs A
Hull H
Liverpool A

Klopp has taken 48 games to get 100 goals. Quicker then Rodgers and we has Suarez then to.

Another good way to win a game, further boosting confidence and team morale. Not the greatest performance but enough to give Pep and city something to think about for the weekend.

The motm for me was Hendo: organ grinder extrodinaire. His performances are not as eye catching as Gerrard's; I'd say he's getting more like Milner, rock steady week-in, week-out. If he keeps this up, it will be his best season and a definite candidate for our player of the season ( and with the lines of Lallana, Mane and Coutinho around, he's keeping some great company there)

Well the Tottenham game. But if they win that one then the game against is so crucial as we need to win that one

Anfield Wrap:

#LFC have scored four goals seven times this season. Seven.

It's still December.

Also taken from FB:

Yesterday after Merseyside police arrested Firmino for drink driving, he scores a goal against Stoke.

And the Anfield faithful chant

"He's better when he's drunk
He's better when he's drunk
Bobby firminooooooooooo
He's better when he's drunk"

Only at Anfield 😂

In the 2nd and 4th quarters we were very good, and that was more than enough. Last season we only played well for parts of games and didn't come away with wins. Along with 45 goals it shows how much better we are clinically and how much our overall performances have improved when we do click.

Three wins in a row, they can go in fearless against Man City. Both sides will be going for the win, so it should be a cracker.

45 goals so far, giving us an average of 2.5 per match, now that is hot!

Quite unfussed over the 1.16 we are leaking based on that, so long as we keep the wins coming.

Klopp: "It was Christian Benteke who broke my glasses at Norwich. So don't kill my glasses or otherwise you will be sold!"

AND:

Klopp, on Coutinho:

Klopp: "You think 'oh no, don't shoot again'. But if I could shoot like he could shoot then I would try it all the time."

Klopp: "If I could shoot like Coutinho I'd get up and just shoot the ****ing ball around in the garden. It's outstanding how good he is."

I see Phil Scraton has turned down an OBE.

Not sure what I think - at the end of the day I think you have to say if that is what his conscience told him to do then we have to support it. He is clearly very much a man of principle and I think that should always be admired. I must say that I have been advocating him getting an award for years as the work he has done for the last 27 years has been the cornerstone of the fight for justice - in fact in my eyes it should be Sir Phil Scraton when I look at those who have been given knighthoods and have done far less. For those who do not know him read his book Hillsborough the truth or if you are not a reader watch the BBC documentary after the revised inquests in April where he was a major contributor. to see the calibre of the man.

In some ways tho I think him refusing the honour could give LFCs critics ammunition to have a go at JFT96, the city and the club in general. They would be wrong to do so of course, but in some ways it is a battle us fans would prefer not to be fighting - as we may get labelled as left wing extremists anti the queen ...etc and that is far from fair - but it would be hard to convince the type of people who would put up such arguments of this. So part of me thinks why did you just not take the OBE and grin and bear it Phil!! - to me being put up for and accepted for it indicates that the country is now with us on the side of the 96 and that is worth celebrating.

So I am a bit ton over it all - anyone else have any opinions?

I wouldn't worry about it. The people who'd say those things are always going to find something to say. They'll find some way to criticise and belittle. If not this then they'd criticise him for receiving one, for selling out, or whatever else they can think of. I believe Margaret Aspinall and Trevor Hicks have been criticise for accepting honours, being called sellouts. I don't agree with it, either.

I can understand why he or anyone would turn down honours from the Queen. I'm not anti-royalty, I'm pro-royalty, in fact, but I can understand when people aren't.

People who will criticise will criticise, regardless. They'll always find some angle. I wouldn't want anyone to make a decision based on potential criticism from people who'll criticise you no matter what, from people who don't matter. People who can't see past their petty football rivalries and feelings towards Liverpool and the people of Liverpool. I especially don't want people to feel pressured to go against their principles.

There are people who still think Liverpool fans are to blame for the Hillsborough disaster, people who just can't be reasoned with or educated. They'd rather use Heysel to score points (disrespecting the 39 in the process) rather than accept the truth, all because of the team the victims supported.

The fact that he has been offered one is good, anyway, he's been recognised for his contribution, though like you say he should've been offered a knighthood. He'll know he's appreciated by us and everyone connected.

I'm not surprised. A couple wins and it's back to being the best at everything, when the league should have been given to the kids a couple weeks ago.

In contrast, we beat Stoke 4-1 and people feel disappointed, that we didn't play that well. Go figure. :P

We've also scored 45 goals. Give me our football any day. They can keep their "best in the league", we'll keep beating teams 4-1.

Good point on the Redmen TV's review show. We've been playing our third or fourth choice striker in Origi, not forgetting Ings, and third or fourth choice CB in Klavan, and we're getting results like this. And you could argue we don't have a first choice GK right now.

Good clear thinking - agree totally - thanks Munch.

The most vital thing which you have said and I agree with is that he should not make a decision based on what reaction it would get, he should just do what he thinks is right.

Shankly when asked if he was upset that he was never offered an honour used to say that the only honour he values is that given by his people - the LFC fans - and that is partly what Phil thinks too I am sure as he has been given lots of honours by others for his work - but not from 'the establishment'.
