Nice for the ref to wait until injury time to give us any type of free kick around their box.

Can't believe what I've seen. We've made Sunderland look a decent side there when they're dreadful. We're lucky not to have lost.

Now Mane's off and Sturridge is probably crocked again. Onto Plymouth in the FA Cup next Sunday. Should be a totally different side out for that game.

Played like a team playing less than 48 hours after a tough game against City sadly. Missed Henderson too. Still had more than enough chances to win it but a draw was a fair result.

Point closer to Chelsea and they have Spurs next. Need them to start dropping points. Sunderland fought hard imo. Mane's flail at the freekick bizarre.

Henderson is my MOTM today. :P
You win the internet with that post

I've been critical of Hendo when the chips have been down in games but we've totally missed him today.

Have struggled to see why so many people want Can in the team on todays evidence.

2-2 it finished. A bad day on the Office with the only positive being a point taken.

Two dropped and a combination of a number of factors today had us drawing.
Sunderland coming off a heavy beating with one of our failed players in Borini, an ex Everton manager and Mancs like Januzaj in the team. Coupled with Klopp perhaps making too few changes from our team that ran themselves into the ground against City.

There keeper made some great stops but Mignolet was equally good. Defoe should've got them another when he was one on one in the first half but Migs hand got in the way and Borini followed it up with his usual eff up self. Our Belgian keeper also got pretty close to keeping Defoe's first pen out

A sadly typical Lucas cheap free kick given away outside the box led to their second pen and that was really stupid from Mane. Hopefully lesson learned on sticking your hand out there. At least Chelsea have a trip to White Hart Lane where they may also drop one or three points on Wednesday.

FA Cup 3d round at home and the first leg of EDF Cup semi away now before old Trafford in the PL a week on Sunday.
Hopefully Hendo,Sturridge and an outside chance of Coutinho being fit for that one.

This is a massively frustrating result. We've just dropped 2 points to an absolutely woeful team, plagued by injuries and suspensions. All because of 2 idiotic penalties. It's an absolute waste of a result and Klopp will rightfully be furious. Can had probably his worst game for LFC, and if that's how he's gonna performance in the DM position, then we may as well just play Kevin Stewart in there instead.

Oh, and another example of a totally average keeper transforming into Gianluigi Buffon specifically against us. Mannone will never play that well again.

Not forgetting Matip is also to come back.

I think most teams would struggle with three quality players out injured like that.
Also Sturridge going off today.
Let's not totally panic yet.

Have to give some credit to Sunderland for the way they went about their business today.
But we messed up and chucked another two points away because we can't kill the game in the last few minutes.

LOL, at least it hasn't happened against us as often under Klopp as with our last few managers.

True, I'm semi relieved we didn't contrive to lose it Bournemouth style.

Haven't seen any post match stuff yet but is Moyes saying they should've had a third pen and won

10 points out of a possible 12 from the four xmas period fixtures is a good return. So frustrating not to get 12 but if Spurs can do the business and leave Chelsea with only 9 from their 4 games I'll be happier.

I'm praying for West Ham also today, as I can see the Liverpool way this Sunday in force.

To be fair, pretty much every shot was straight at Mannone. Only the first save from Sturridge's right-footed low shot was really impressive. Have to blame poor finishing for that one.

Edit: West Ham down to 10 now and it's a highly debatable red. Just our luck.

They've had a huge amount of luck already with a West Ham player red carded in the first 15minutes.

Looks very harsh to.

Ridiculous decision.
If any good luck doesn't come back West Ham's way in this one then perhaps Karma will get us a big decision at old Trafford the weekend after next

Although if they win well against ten men now, then perhaps the step up in quality against oppo like us will shock them into submission

That's 3 red card decisions that have gone in their favour recently.

Imagine if Rodwell got a red card instead of a yellow for his bad challenge on Can today at 0-0. How much longer can we put up with officials having such a large influence on outcomes like this with poor decisions?

Add the dodgy offside decisions - and apparently they're unlucky! Hope they're this plodding against us in two weeks time.

Reckon over the last 10 games it actually does even itself out for us now. It's just there have been an unbelievable amount of wrong decisions involving United recently, both for and against. Hell, just in the last couple of days we've had two games in which a ref has had an absolute shocker, getting almost every major call wrong and giving one team a huge advantage. Beyond sick of it now.

I have still seen very little in Utd to hugely worry us about facing them at old Trafford.
They took a long time to break the ten men down and have two goals now and still look laboured in attack.
I expect another time wasting masterclass from Mourinho the week after next.Probably with help from more officials if they sneak the win.
We will win by a goal or two against them.

The frustrating part is more the manner of the draw than the actual dropping of the points. Giving away (or giving the ref the opportunity) 2 penalties is massively frustrating.

When you look at the bigger picture we could have easily drew or lost against City and drew this one as well. So it was 7 out of 9 from the Christmas fixtures which is pretty decent, albeit in the context of the current league table not enough.

Chelsea WILL drop points so i'm not falling apart over the end of the league challenge. But to be honest even though I have faith generally in this team and belief, I can't see this team winning the title this year, so I would prefer to consolidate Top 4 as quickly as possible which is more where the frustration comes into with dropped points and the teams around all winning.

I've seen too many Liverpool united matches to be so bullish. They have a nasty habit of pulling something out of the bag even when we go into these matches as the form team.

The only one of these derbies I ever felt supremely confident with was the Moyes one at OT because I knew they were clueless that season and we were on fire with Suarez.
