Absolutely cannot wait to see Gomez in action. The kid is fantastic, hopefully he'll show the same kind of form we were seeing pre-injury.

I so agree it will be fantastic to see him back; he looked very impressive when he played a few games at LB, which isn't his natural position. In fact, in my fantasy Liverpool manager's mind, I'd have a healthy, match fit Gomez playing the right side of a back three with Matip and Lovren. Let Clyne and Milner go forward with abit more freedom. Not the easiest system to get right, but Chelsea have proved how effective it can be.
( even Moreno would be less worrying in that system )

I agree it'll be great to see Gomez back. We haven't seen him play at centre back yet either. Played in an unfamiliar left back role before he got injured and did a great job nonetheless.

I think a lot of our fan base go a bit OTT re Gomez - he is a promising player and I would be glad to see him play V Plymouth but I would not say any more than that at this stage.

Lets look at the facts - he has played 5 games. In those games he did OK but also made some ricks - directly responsible for one of the WH goals in a 0-3 home defeat and at 1-0 down at OT V MUFC he gave away a soft penalty - which was clearly correct I am sorry to say - thus putting the game out of our reach.

I am not saying he is rubbish btw - just saying lets see him a bit more before we draw too many conclusions.

One who to me does look a player is Ejaria - want to see him get a start on Sunday.

A question - why is Harry Wilson never near the team? - he has had full caps for Wales as a sub I think and is a the captain of the U19 team but as far as I know has never been in a first team squad. Does he still train at the academy? Woodburn is younger but seems more in Klopps plans.

We are hoping for good game against you guys. For us it's a great day out but we've come to win. Lots of goals hopefully and a good atmosphere.

Quire excited by that adventurous and youthful lineup - Lucas and Can with the job of guiding them through

Hope you give a great account of yourselves and have a cracking experience - but I'm not wishing for Pilgrims progress! Carey looks a bit of a threat.

Great to see Joe Gomez back in the starting line up. Hope he doesn't have a similar return to what Danny Ings did after being out for so long.

Surprised that Ben Woodburn is starting, thought he would just be on the bench but am excited at seeing him nonetheless.

Carey is a good player that will punish you if you give him time on the ball. Green army on the march.

Taken from FB:

Today's Liverpool team is the youngest team in our entire history in terms of average age at 21 years.

Hmm, this could get a bit nervy and frustrating unless we get an early goal in the second half. We might have to bring the big guns on.

Disappointing from Plymouth given the inexperience of our starting XI - their tactics are working but geared towards getting a 0-0 rather than winning the game. I guess a lucrative replay is the better option in their minds.

Some decent moments for the kids but I suspect the big guns may be needed to put this to bed.

Surely we don't want a replay.

So we're shaping up to be the laughing stock of the weekend. So disappointing.

That was the risk of playing such a young team. We just couldn't get any quality into the box.
The replay will be a complete pain in the arse.

Well done Plymouth, you certainly deserve the replay with the big crowd and probably more cash for live to coverage.

Not sure what to say about us. We do have a semi final and a trip to Utd in the next week but was that too many changes from Klopp? Simply, it looked like we lacked the quality to break them down today. We really don't need another game in this January period which was already looking tough with Utd, Chelsea and the two legs of the league cup semi.

League 2 come on that is a disgusting effort kids playing or not.

The team we put out vs zero risk tactics from Plymouth - a 0-0 wasn't completely unexpected surely. Most disappeared with Origi to be honest.

So frustrating but at least it's not dropped league points.
I find myself being more bothered about the FA Cup when we put these ties to bed without replays. We could win the replay and then draw a Chelsea or City away. I won't be so bothered if we went out then. As long as we're still in the title chase and we may still have a Wembley final to look forward to sooner.
