At chelsea, the loan system was being used (successfully) as a business venture, a way to help get around FFP. Now there is not such thing, I doubt that clubs having this many out on loan will continue.
It would be better (and more transparent) if clubs could play a B team in the league that could not be promoted to the PL as in other european countries. |

These players have the opportunity to turn clubs down. Nobody is forcing them to move and I'm pretty much sure they know the score by now. The only player I'm bothered about losing is Sterling. The rest I couldn't care less about to be honest. If they were good enough they'd make the team. How many of our youth players have gone on to flourish? I think fans are the ones who build them up. Look at Suso. People were up in arms that he left. What's he done since? I never felt he was good enough. Ibe is shaping up the same for me. Hope he proves me wrong.

I'm pretty sure if the club for example said to Llori when he was at lisbon that they want to sign him but he could be on loan for 3 years he may of had 2nd thoughts about signing for the club. |

Why would anyone stay when they are being told they are not required. No point a player staying if he knows he wont play.

I guess my point is. Are these players any good? Surely if they were they'd be in the team. Like I said I think fans build these players up when in fact the reality is they aren't good enough. I mean move to LFC in the first place. Not move from LFC. They would know the chances of them playing at Liverpool might be slim.

I thought Ings looked promising with his cameo during the last game, Him and Benteke weren't quite on the same page yet, But with games I think they could be quite potent, It seemed much more positive than Benteke being so isolated.

5 days since anyone has posted in here so I will bump us to the top again. Probably I suspect everyone is feeling as pessimistic as I am just now after the WH debacle.
The next game would be wonderful to win but I must admit I am not looking forward to it as a loss there would push the spirits even lower and at the moment that looks the most likely outcome. I fear a similar line up to the WH game and if that happened I would have to hide behind the sofa for much of the game!! What changes should be made to give us the best chance of a result bearing in mind that Hendo, Lallana, Allen and Coutinho (4 candidates for places in midfield) are definitely out as far as I know? People who know me will not be surprised to hear that I want Sakho not Lovren - that to me is a no brainer but I would almost be surprised if BR did it as he seems to rate Lovren so much or he may even switch Gomez to CB which I have seen suggested - but an 18 year old playing his first match at CB away at OT to me makes no sense. The other 6? - Milner, Can definitely and probably Firimino, Benteke, Ings and Lucas - you choose the formation!! Subs? - Bogdan, Moreno, Toure, Lovren (I suppose), Rossiter, Ibe and Origi. Have I forgotten anyone? On the bright side the league position at the moment looks OK = 7th ahead of many who might be seen as our rivals and apart from City nobody is very far ahead of us. Also in the WH game everything that could have gone wrong did - early goal against, bad mistake and we are 2 down, best player sent off ...etc so lets hope things improve this weekend and we can become optimistic again. Is Henderson not going to be fit for this one then? There were rumours of Sturridge perhaps playing a role, but I'd be extremely disappointed in Brendan if he rushed him back this early given his injury woes within the last 12 months. |

Not at all. If there is one team as crap as us at the moment, it's United. Level on points with them seems about right.

I wouldn't bother rushing Hendo back, he's important sure, but I wouldn't want him to get an even worse injury.
Lucas holding, with Milner and Can in front of him. 4-3-3. |

. It's just that going to play MUFC away with the team not playing well is not my idea of fun!! One big thing is the starting team BR picks - I worry it will have obvious weaknesses like the poor Lovren or the off form Ibe starting or be too defensive in outlook but I guess we will see when the line up is announced. I am going on holiday to Spain Saturday to Saturday 12th to 19th getting there about lunch time so will have to find a pub before the kick off as I doubt we will have it on the TV in the apartment - I just hope there are not too many MUFC fans in said pub. |

It's a game neither team will be looking forward to. Straight after the international break, both off the back of bad results and not the best start to the season. It's a game neither will want to lose so I don't expect a classic. Rooney is either going to be on a high after yesterday and bang 4 past us or will have a hang-over from finally bagging the record and be totally anonymous. Hopefully the latter but probably the former. I fully expect BR to send us out to be very cautious and negative and for us to lose 1-0.

woah, I was watching TV the night Rooneh became Englands highest ever goal scorer !...arent I proud ? no
based on Sterlings crap performance we did very well to get £49 mill......the game just couldnt flow with him falling down every few mins, well at least he got a penalty. |

The over-hyping of England over the next 9 months is going to be ridiculous, even by the standards we usually expect before a major championship. You can only beat the teams put in front of you but this qualification campaign has been stupendously easy and flattered England hugely. It's just going to make the inevitable poor performance in France all the worse. I am Mr Grumpy today!

I think the Swiss have a right to feel aggrieved today, the Ref made a few decisions to their detriment last night that were wrong.

Absolutely agree. Loads of people had walked out of the match long before Rooney took that penalty, you know, the one that never should have been anyway. We, as Liverpool fans know all too well about Sterlings 'dropsies' in the box, and that one was a classic for him. Kane's goal was decent, Smalling and Shaw were OK, Rooney was invisible for most of the match, but still the DM made him MOTM

I was there and I wouldn't say 'loads' left. The overwhelming majority stayed until the end. Don't take this the wrong way, but you're coming across quite bitter.
Oh, and I was quoting the TV commentators, and todays media on 'loads' walking out.
