It is not the losing. it is the way we are losing and really the negative unadventurous way we are approaching most games, lets face it we have barely had a really good performance for the past 2 seasons since Suarez left. It is tempting to say it was all down to Luis that we did so well then and yes of course he was clearly the most important factor, but Jim is right too as that season we had a far more attacking mentality and many of the current team played far better than they are doing now. Remember us winning 6-0 away at NUFC at the end of the previous season without :Luis after the Ivanovic suspension, you don't do that if you are bad players. Now I am sad to say it is almost always boring to watch us, we lack spirit and are simply not playing to our max whereas clubs like Palace, Leicester, Swansea and West Ham show far more spirit and are far more entertaining to watch. They are playing to their max. We may well finish above all 4 of them but considering the money we can spend compared to them we should do shouldn't we.
My position was and still is to keep BR till Christmas and see how it goes in the next 3 or 4 months but I am getting less and less optimistic that he will be able to change it round - but I hope he does as I do like the guy. I believe that we do have good enough players, we just have to set the team up to play to their max which we are simply not doing now. If the results and more importantly the performances are not better by the end of the year then we would be unwise to let it continue any longer I believe”
Hope you've been somewhere nice Alan
I agree with the above. It's often the manner of our defeats, I mean I was happy to take the nitty gritty somewhat lucky early 1 nil wins and the nil nil draw but we didn't play that well but to then have the losses in the manner in which they have come is very depressing. Obviously we hope things can be turned around in our favour but if not no excuses. Losing Henderson should not be too catastrophic to us in all honestly, upped his game massively for sure but he is not a Luis Suarez, he is replaceable.
Excellent resent results v Norwich so lets hope that continues, glad to have coutinho back.

That's the million dollar question, I can't fathom the answer. From his principles when we had SAS to now is polar opposites, yes I know we lost Suarez and then Sturridge to injury so you may say that's why but he hasn't changed his philosophy about playing it out from the back despite it being clear Mignolet, Skrtel & Lovren can't do it!
with players like Coutinho, Lallana, Firmino, Beteke, Ings soon to be Sturridge we should be attacking far more than we have been thats for sure.
