BR lost the team last season and has totally lost the fans this season, Forget two seasons ago the last 15 games speak for themselves.

The performances are starting to look very reminiscent of the last couple of games under Hodgson. That 3-1 defeat to Blackburn looked like a game in which the players had given up on the manager.

If you're drawing comparisons to Hodgson (who FSG got rid of quite mercilessly) then it really is time to go.

Still no excuse for them not playing for the shirt, which too many appear to be doing.

Sadly, the days of playing for the shirt and the badge are long gone.

If the players aren't giving 100%, who's fault is it? Firstly I don't believe they're just going through the motions. They are professional sportsmen. Secondly, the club employs all sorts of people from the manager down to ensure we get the best out of the players. If the team isn't performing in the long term it boils down to one man. The players, both as individuals and as a collective, have to shoulder some responsibility for each performance but when they are managed by someone who is either unable or unwilling to send them out in a formation that makes any sense it doesn't take a genius to work out why they aren't playing at their best.

Point taken.

There is a big problem now though.
If FSG are not willing to sacrifice BR because of the costs of getting rid of him (money is a huge factor to them), BR is very unlikely to quit on a very low, which he is at now. For him that would be career suicide, and limit his options of getting another position in any decent club, so, he should hang on and try to turn this around, fast.

Don't get me wrong, I would be fine with hearing in a newsflash today that he had gone, so long as his replacement was of a much, much better calibre. All I am doing is looking at the position the club and manager are in at this moment, and a lot depends on how big the balls are of FSG.

If we leave a managerial change until next summer, then the competition from CL qualified clubs for an Ancelotti or Klopp would be intense.A lot more so than snapping either of them up mid season when they are both not working.

Klopp has said now that he wants to work in the PL and would cut his break from football short for "the right club".

Its in your owners hands now.

However its a bit of a crappy thing to come out with given the position Rodgers is in, you don't exactly have to stretch to see what he's getting at there. Unless he fancies a Geordie lass...

The fact that he has made it through the morning probably means he'll get the Villa game on Saturday at the very least. It's a must win game considering our run of fixtures after that, so it'll be a nervy one.

Crap sauce but from the same guy on talk sport

http://www.90min.com/posts/2584659-b...nt?a_aid=36149

Quote:
“With regard to who might replace Rodgers, Beecroft seems to think the instant denial of any contact with Carlo Ancelotti is actually rather telling, considering the club has never bothered to quash the persistent rumours about Klopp arriving.

He said, "Liverpool swiftly denied any talks with Carlo Ancelotti when the rumours became public, however you might remember Jurgen Klopp has been linked with the Liverpool job for quite some time and they've never issued any statement regarding that, so Liverpool fans saw that as being a little bit fishy."

On a similar theme, fans may recall Rodgers categorically denying that Mario Balotelli would sign for the club mere days before it happened.

Beecroft went on to add, "Unless something happens, whereby Ancelotti says no, that will be the only thing that will save Brendan, and even then, he would only stay in the short term. One thing I can tell you is that Jurgen Klopp will not be the next Liverpool manager."”

Does make a good point here.

If you can get Carlo, then that will be a huge coup indeed, as he would certainly be a step up from your current manager.

It would be to good to be true he's won majors where ever he has been, it would be amazing.

Still think he'd sabotage us for embarrassing his boys in 2005. :P

It just sounds like pure guesswork.

From what I've read, I think that both Carlo and Klopp want the job. Let's hope FSG do the right thing and get one of them in soon.

For any who want to do this, there is a petition just started FAO FSG, HERE

I struggle to believe either Klopp or Ancelotti would actually want the job. It's not like they're going to be given £100m plus to revamp the entire squad. Out of interest does anyone know what the net spend per season has been since BR took over? I suspect it'll be pretty similar to the £20m Rafa used to actually spend. We have a stupidly high turnover of players but FSG don't actually invest much in the squad. That's not a situation a top manager is going to want to walk into.

John Barnes has said Rodgers is the right man, I just think they want to come across loyal and it's all bull shit.

Klopp is a big possibilty as he wants to come to the prem league.

What Barnes knows about football management can be summed up in this:

John Barnes' managerial ability
