I can see and understand the argument for why people think BR should go but the whole blame he for the bad results while also refusing to credit him for any good results simply speaks of an agenda.

Rodgers no doubt is under pressure and to claim we are rebuilding again after 4 years isnt on but I see it as the owners either sack him now or wait until January.

There is no point in going game to game. Until I see a local journalist or those with proven links to the club hint that his on shaky ground then I think his been given time.

Prior to the Man United game, Barry Glendenning said that he'd been told Rodgers had to get 7 points out of the next few games...he also suggests Klopp is meeting with the club in November, based on something he was told by someone close to the club.

Rafael Honigstein, who knows Klopp's agent supposedly, however, thought this was nonsense.

Hmm..I really want Rodgers to turn this around, but evidence suggests it won't happen, can we just write off this season by giving him till January?

No, not really. A huge amount of fans are already steaming over what is happening now. The fact that so many got up and walked out of Anfield last night, and that the remainder showed their disgust by booing before leaving says a lot, and it will only get worse as time goes on.

This headline on the BBC Sports news "Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says he is not worried about his position following his side's stuttering start to the season" - isn't going to help either.

We all knew we had a tough run of away matches to start this season, that was a given that Rodgers could have been excused for. But we are shocking at home too, and I mean, REALLY shocking against minnows (no insult meant) that we should have easily hammered. He can't blame unfit players, it was his job to ensure his squad could cover any and all situations, he hasn't, he's failed miserably in several aspects of his job, therefore - he needs to go asap.

I dont believe the meeting in November story? Why November? If they want to get rid they will just do that rather than pre plan it.

Does much need turning around? If we win on Sunday then were not in that bad of position at all. The next 7 games will dictate how our season will end up.

The so called 'we're different to other clubs supporters' is a myth then? Atmosphere dead and then booing young players. Yep real different.

If his asked the question what is he supposed to say "Yes I am terrified and realise I could be sacked".

His got no choice but to answer that his not worried about his position.

I want Rodgers gone but he got massive backing in the Summer and got money to spend and so the Liverpool owners won't sack him anytime soon as it won't achieve anything at this stage . He will be here until January and maybe even till May .

Performances are frankly shocking, so yes, a lot needs turning around. Sure we've had a few tough games early on, but regardless of results, we should be doing better against the likes of Stoke, Bournemouth and Norwich. We shouldn't be drawing with Sion at home.

I don't believe the November story either, for what it's worth.

For me it isn't all about who the poor results are against at all, It is the piss poor performances due to poor tactics, We run around like headless chickens and have zero confidence as a "group" the players do not know what or where they are supposed to be or be doing, And then add to that picking players out of position or third best choice with better on the bench.

Does anyone keep upto date on FB too?

Some of the feed is shocking and it really adds to the frustration, like Fifa stats and the latest is a head tennis tournament, what a way to prepare for a huge derby and after an awful loss.

I'm sure Rodgers can and does point to other teams' poor starts as a way to justify our poor start. He can point to the league table and say despite the performances and results we're only 5 pts off the lead and 2 points behind 4th. He will be telling FSG that if he can keep the team within touching distance of the top 4 between now and December we'll be in a great position in the easier second half of the season, That's how he'll be spinning it. Technically he's correct. Personally I'd be saying that if we'd won just one of those games we should have won on paper we would be top 4 but also that the way we are playing is as important as the points on the board. We're missing a great opportunity this season with other clubs stuttering.

Agree with the whole of this, any team manager can quote 'points' and 'no losses' as to being OK. But the fact we are W3, D2, L2 with a -2 on GD is nothing to feel satisfied about, and true (as per your post on why EPL is so poor in Europe) that many teams are closer in all aspects - there are NO easy games any more. The teams that are winning are scrappers to the end, they believe in themselves, their club and their team-mates. We seem to have lost that edge, become slack in defence, pass poorly in midfield and cannot get the ball to the back of the net through whimsical shooting at the goalie. If you can't sort it BR, move over and let someone in who can.

Yes it does need a lot of turning round cos the reality is that we have played badly in most games for over a season now (since Suarez left - with the best game being THFC away last season) and even if by some miracle we get nearer to top 4 there is no way we will maintain it playing like we are. For me and many others too it is not so much the results but the performances which worry us.

It has got to that point yes but I do think we have shown more patience than most would - the influx of 'tourist fans' has not helped - the ones who go once on a Thomas Cook package, take lots of pics, spend loads in the club shop type of fans who never sing and probably have no idea which is the Kop end - and no that does not mean non Scouse fans. With the history we have got we tend to attract a lot of tourist fans. The truth is that there are some awesome LFC fans from miles away who travel great distances every home game spending lots in doing so and they are having to put up with the dross we have now - I know as I read their views on FB and elsewhere. There are also some awful Scouse fans. Where you come from is not a measure of your allegiance in any way.

I don't know why we are playing so badly. We are in October and some are already written the season off! How many is that? Except for the Suarez season in the last 10yrs.

We are now a middle league Football team because management of owners. FSG management although are extending the stadium have taken us even further away from a league title.

Its so annoying if managed right (hate to bring up the past) by the Moores family properly all those years ago shops/businesses would been in most countries around the world selling the LFC brand and the stadium extended a long time ago. Liverpool might now be a very rich club. Instead we are playing catch up on everything.

I wonder if we will ever win the league again.

Well Reds it's Derby Day yet again

Despite our PPP (Pi$$ Poor Performance) as of late, I really hope that the result goes our way today. Yes I am as nervous as hell, and am expecting some banter from some sock robbing friends, so fingers crossed that our first Derby without Stevie G is a good one.

C'MON LIVERPOOL !

We came came close to winning the league in 2009, it's only the last 5 years that we've started badly, apart from 2013-14.

I was watching LFC TV yesterday, a programme about Luis Garcia was on, back 10 years ago we had world class players playing for us, Garcia, Morientes, Alonso, Riise to name but a few, compare that to the current crop is it any wonder we're doing so badly, they are all average player with the exception of maybe Coutinho and Sturridge, Then throw a clueless manager into the mix are we surprised at the outcome?

I loved Riise, but world class is not a term I'd apply to him. Morientes struggled heavily.

Garcia, another player I loved blew hot and cold at times.

Alonso was the only one I would have applied that term to...

We have a squad that is good enough to be doing better

The likes of Firmino, Lallana, Moreno and so on are certainly on a par with some of the players in the squad you're remembering so fondly..

Yeah I might be looking back with rose tinted glasses but we just seemed so much better back then.

I look back fondly on having the likes of Mascherano, Alonso and so on in the team too, however, things have moved on, and this squad should be doing a lot better.

Rodgers needs to go back to believing in his previous philosophies, we had the all out pressing and attack style of play, then the counter attacking style, and now he seems to be trying to merge the two but it's not working.

How long can be just keep persisting with it?

The sort of players we have need freedom and movement.

Playing with the passion and pace we've been missing since the Arsenal away game.
Pity it's taken a derby to bring it out of us, we need this every game.

Great save from Mig!!
