Damn, I really like Klopp, so if he does join you, then I will have to re-evaluate my thoughts on him!

Anybody worried by this or believe it could possibly be true? I would be gutted if he were to go in January, I had his name on my top this year!! Hopefully if he does decide to go it's in the Summer and we don't let him leave in January! |

Can't see it being winter maybe the summer, My hope is that the change of manager makes it easier for us to keep players and attract players we may not have got under the previous manager.

![]() I'm sure you'll get less stick here too Nice to hear BR has, so far, took his dismissal with class. Shame it didn't work our for him in the end but these things happen and in a way he was lucky not to go at the end of last season. Be happy for him to do well elsewhere, just not as well as Liverpool do of course. Let's hope we have no issues with getting the man LFC want in, really don't want to end up going for a third choice if things can't be agreed with Klopp/Carlo. |

I'm not surprised at the Coutinho rumours if true we left it to late sticking with Rodgers for so long, maybe our new manager hoping it's the big Klopp could persuade him to stay.
Sakho speaks out about Rodgers. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...-caged-6581051 |

Rumours 'R Us are having a field day right now. I even read something, somewhere this morning that the owners were going to bring back both Carra & Stevie to help the new manager. Yea, right! *Rumour
Last I heard on Coutinho was that he was 'alleged' to have a slight injury and was staying home, not playing for Brazil, the buzz was that he wanted to be around when the new manager came in. *Rumour I know already how Sakho felt re not being selected to play. It was no secret. *Probably Fact. I'll just wait and see. Might be interesting during the boring international break to work out which team members Klopp (or any other alleged manager), will get rid of, and which they will keep. |

Like Souness said we are a selling club, Coutinho obviously believed in Rodgers and started to regret it, Rodgers is to blame for the teams form therefore Coutinho may be unhappy so yeh his fault.
If Rodgers was in charge untill next year we would lose him without a doubt, along with Sturridge and Sakho. |

Latest rumours are that Didi Hamann is going to be part of the coaching setup. Not really convinced by his credentials after his run at Stockport, but he'd bridge the gap quite nicely in terms of being German AND Scouse

Well I read that Didi had a word with Klopp over coming here, and I did think about the possibility of him coming here in a coaching role.

If we go along with your way of thinking please explain why Lewandowski and mario gotze left Dortmund for bayern. Were they disillusioned with klopp or was it just the fact that Bayern are a bigger club. No matter how good klopp is a manager he still couldn't convince two of his best players to stay instead of leaving for a rival club. Players don't have to be unhappy to leave for the big three clubs in Europe. |

Its an exciting time for us isn't it - under BR I had started to get in a continual state of frustration but now that has been lifted and if Klopp is confirmed in the next day or two it will have lifted even further.
On BR tho - a brief summary - not happy when he got the job as not high profile enough for LFC but his Swansea team played well and after a shaky start he had LFC playing as well - in fact better cos we had better players. Became very pro him but after Suarez left it has never been the same and the worst thing has been the football which has fallen to levels where it frankly often bored me - endless passing, no end result and by the end I felt the only way we could progress was for him to leave. I feared tho cos FSG seemed so loyal to him that it would not happen or it would take too long to happen. Thankfully I was wrong and it has happened and it seems that the man I most wanted is the favourite to take over so I am well pleased. I must however say that BR was and is a good man and I think a decent manager too and I loved his statement published yesterday which showed this and also showed the affection that he still feels for our club. We feel the same Brendan - good luck in the future. I think we need to show some patience with Klopp as it will take time to get us playing his way and maybe for him to adjust to the PL. I expect he will bring his number two with him but I think he would be wise to have an ex LFC player on board too - Robbie, Did, maybe even Gary Mc (feel sorry for S O'D btw whose LFC stay will be brought to an end through no fault of his own cos of what happened to BR). I want Klopp to come in with a blank sheet and give everyone a chance - and also people on loan too like Mario and Markovic especially as they are good players who need to have that good play brought our of them in a LFC shirt - maybe Klopp could do that? Anyway I am trying not to such long posts any more so I will stop - exciting times ahead tho :- now BR has gone I do think top 4 this season is not impossible altho it all depends on how the new manager (hopefully Klopp) settles in and if it does not happen no worries in time I think it will happen. |

I am writing this season off. Klopp has to bring over his own ideas and style of play etc etc and this takes time. Can see it being similar to BR first season. Inconsistent results but with a clear sign of which direction klopp wants to take the team. |

Don't see Mario wearing a Liverpool shirt again. Can you imagine him playing in a high press klopp side. Just not gonna happen.

Inconsistent results but with a clear sign of which direction klopp wants to take the team. I saw a Klopp quote which was a bit anti tika taka and so for our players to adjust to what will essentially be a different style of play could take time and maybe you are also right about Mario - I just think deep down he is a good player (remember his role in Italy beating Germany in the Euros) and a good manager should be able to work with a good player - certainly I think Mario will be glad BR has gone and maybe now he sees some hope of a LFC future but as ever with Mario the only person who can make it happen is himself |

I wouldn't use the phrase writing the season off but I know what you mean - like you I think we could end up being inconsistent and that is not a recipe for success but you never know. Other clubs are also inconsistent so we may get enough points to get top 4 but I am not getting my hopes up. What I do hope is that no LFC fans get on Klopp's case too much if things are not great straight away - there will be enough people elsewhere (media and the usual LFC haters of which there are many) doing this so we have to resist. Anyway I am sure it will not be that bad and that there will be memorable moments at the very least before the end of the season.

That's something that I lost under Rodgers. Klopp excites me. A lot. |

BR said we needed to rebuild and that is why he had to go regardless of the other obvious issues, Now we have a fresh start and must have patience, I do not expect us to fly up the league but more passion, desire and getting more out of what we have is all we can expect this season wherever that leads us.

I presume that if or when Klopp arrives, will he bring his own coaching team with him?

It's hilarious that Liverpool haven't appointed Klopp[yet], yet fans of other rival clubs on other club forums have gone into an hysterical meltdown.
![]() Brendan Rodgers, as much as i wanted him to succeed at Liverpool, he never sorted out the defence, it's mostly been shambolic & Mignolet an accident waiting to happen, even the season when we were challenging for the title we conceded 50 goals. Also on the transfer committee who had the last say on transfers, BR didn't want Balotelli but we signed him anyway & a couple of others he didn't want[might have probably foreseen Sturridge's injury problems] could/should BR have been more forceful to abandon the transfers. The writing on the wall was from the appalling performances from last seasons FA Cup semi final to the end of the season, that appalling 6-1 loss at Stoke, i think final nail was the Carlisle game couple of weeks ago, going to penalties against a side from League 2. |
