The neighbours probably heard me I laughed so hard.

It was comedy gold played straight.

Loved the bit in the Cabin when Norris tried to seize back the parcel.

And that funniest bit when Michael was looking at the old 'family' album, and he said something like [Gavin}'s changed - so stupid Michael still hadn't dawned on him that wasn't Gavin sitting next him.

I was in hoots of laugher when Gail showed Michael a picture of David as a boy and said David was unrecognisable too when he was a child.

Michael said: 'It looks like David.' Then Gail topped if off by looking at Andy and saying 'didn't you have an accident with your face?'

Classic.

Thing is though, wasn't the picture she showed one of a young Jack P Shepherd? Would have been better for the gag if it had been Thomas Ormson, even if it had been comically Photoshopped...

It made me laugh too. The scene was meant to be dramatic, but it was more like a comedy scene.

It was hilarious. One of my highlights was:

Michael: "You let me celebrate his birthday. You even blew the candles out!"
Bethany: "Yeah that is pretty dark"

.

It was good.

Gail: [To Andy] "Did you have an accident?"

I was doubled over when Gail pulled out the picture of David and said how he was now unrecognisable. And tears of mirth filled my eyes. Glorious!

Also the look on Gail's face when Andy said that he didn't want Michael to look at the album because he used to smoke .

It was absolutely brilliant, classic Corrie comedy at its best! Gail saying to Andy 'Did you have an accident' and saying David was unrecognisable from when he was young was hilarious. Surely it was intentionally played as comedy and not supposed to be dramatic?

it was brilliant & hilarious but the scene was supposed to be dramatic, we weren't supposed to be crying with laughter!

It was a Simon Crowther script and he usually goes over the top in his attempts for comedy so I'd say it was written as a somewhat comedic reveal myself.

Yes, there's no question imo the reveal was undoubtedly written for laughs - and very successful it was too. But quite rightly the comedy stopped when Michael started to realise the implications, how he's been duped etc and his rage kicked in. I thought it was very well done.

I was expecting Gail to show a picture of the lad who played David before Jack but she didn't which made it hillarious

I'm amazed that some people can't see that of course it was written for laughs. There were one-liners galore and the OTT nature of the whole storyline has provided various comedic moments. I'm glad they went down the route of an overly dramatic comedic reveal rather than a serious one as it was one of the best episodes of Corrie in months.

I thought at that moment that she should've shown Michael a picture of a young Nick instead .

It was nearly as funny as the Barlow's Alcoholics Anonymous scene (which God bless her! Blanche played an absolute blinder)

They probably would've been slated if they'd done that but I think it would've been one of the funniest soap moments ever .

^^ Gutted none of this happened, would have been a great episode

I expect many would have complained, but I certainly wouldn't be one of them, would have been a golden TV moment - we should have written this episode in my opinion
