I bought this the other day in my local bookshop, and thought I would give it a go. I am sad that Kate O'Mara died before she could record her voice for the story.

I am glad that both Kate's family and the people behind the BF audios were in agreement that Siobhan Redmond was the perfect choice for Kate's replacement. I love Siobhan in everything she has done; playing twins in Sea of Souls, The Ginger Refuge manager in The Catherine Tate Show and Shona in the Alan Cumming comedy The High Life.

I have so far listened to the first CD out of the two that there is, and I must say I'm impressed. Siobhan makes a good Rani. I'm hoping to listen to parts 3 and 4 on the second disc tonight, before I go to bed. Then I'll be able to say what I think about the story as a whole.

I'm looking forward to the next Rani audio, Planet of the Rani, which according to the official Big Finish website, should be out before Christmas.

Has anyone else got The Rani Elite? And if so, what did you think of it?
