After Simone's death and 'Lighthouse' underperforming, I guess they found it too difficult to carry on. Paula and Emmalyn have left the group.

Sad times. Ugly Heart was an amazing song.

This was one of their last performances as a group (and it's a fantastic performance) -

its such a shame because I love 'Ugly Heart', 'Vacation' and 'Show Me What You Got' [not keen on 'Lighthouse' though]. But Simone seemed to be the main lead singer and without her I couldn't really see them having a future

They had great promise with Ugly Heat. Simone's death sealed their fate.

It's a shame as along with Fifth Harmony, they were one of the western girl groups in the last few years who I actually felt showed some promise. But it's very hard to bounce back from what they went through.

they just worked better as a 5 piece, Simone left a huge hole in the group, and i think the split it for the best. its tragic and a shame.

The people behind GRL and Fifth Harmony probably thought they'd fill a gap in the market but they've never really been massively commercial.

GRL never really caught on and the unfortunate passing of Simone, as a previous comment stated, sealed their fate.

Simon Cowell is going to keep pushing FH down our throats until they have a decent sized hit. He was probably hoping they'd be successors to Little Mix (who's days are probably numbered in terms of an X Factor/Syco related pop group).

I don't wish any of them bad luck though. I'm all for a new girl group.

Did they ever find out the reasons as to why Simone committed suicide? I feel so sorry for the girls, as well as Simone - as it has now destroyed their dreams.

G.R.L were tipped to be the next big girl group.

I read somewhere that she was having financial difficulties. I don't know how much truth there is in that though.

Actually 'Ugly Heart' was one of the biggest songs of the year in Australia last year and was a massive hit in Ireland, New Zealand and sold over 340K downloads in the UK as well (which is more than some #1 singles do). They were about to break the US iTunes top 100 when Simone died, and they had a huge radio deal that was about to make them huge. Everything got cancelled after Simone's tragedy and they basically had to start from scratch with Lighthouse, which was too emotional to promote for them (Lauren had to stop and compose herself during one performance of it) and then I guess they realized as a four piece with the lead singer/star gone that it would be best to quit. It's all very sad as they were formed in early 2013 and they were only really 'active' for a year (Vacation, Wild Wild Love and Ugly Heart) before everything ended for them.

It's a shame as they had promise. My guess is the spark and love for the band died when Simone died. Would be nice to finally hear the album they recorded. They recorded nearly a whole album before Simone died and then several songs after.

I am sure Robin Antin will give us yet another girlband, but she's never had one as longterm or as successful as PCD.

Apparently she was having money problems [which, if that was the reason, is really sad as if the band became a massive success might have sorted out her money issues]. I also read she suffered depression for a while

Sad news They had a lot of potential. I guess they found it hard to carry on after Simone's death.

Girlicious and Paradiso Girls should have reformed by now regardless of G.R.L's split. All of these groups had huge potential.

Blimey it's not a good week for fans of girl bands this week is it? I never really liked Ugly Heart and their other singles, but I loved Lighthouse so it's a shame that we won't be hearing any more from them.
