Getting missing free view channels through youview.
My mother in law can't get all the freeview channels because of the reception where she lives. She has a BT youview box which adds channels from the internet like BT sport onto her EPG. Is there any way to add the missing free view channels to the EPG via her internet connection in the same way?

Short answer is no. The Youview box provides additional channels to the over the air Freeview set, not the same.
As an alternative she could consider getting a satellite dish fitted and a Freesat box. This will give most of all the popular free channels (except Yesterday, Really, Drama and Quest). Or if she is a PC or tablet user, then some of the missing channels may be found online. |

Thanks. Seems strange that they don't provide the additional channels but I guess there aren't that many customers who have decent broadband but are missing one of the multiplexes.
Guess she'll just have to use the catch up service. |

She will be in one of the areas that gets the Freeview Lite service at a guess.
If shes got a PC or tablet than she could use the TV catch up service or TV player to get the extra Freeview channels that she may want. Darren |
