TARDIS in unexpected locations?

Have You ever seen the TARDIS, or a replica TARDIS in an enfeebled place?

I was recently in a Telefonica Office in Central London and spotted a TARDIS close to their reception. To be fair they also had a yellow regular style phone box behind reception, so maybe it was just a "phone" theme .....

When I was a kid in the 80s we were on a school trip to a transport museum. I guess it must have been the National Tramway Museum - you can see the police box in the link. It sort of ruined the day for me because I only saw it fleetingly as we set off on a tram and it was all I cared about after that!

Aww. That's actually really nice.

I don't think I've got any exciting tale to tell. Unfortunately I seem to have been born in a rather cynical age where people stop making effort. I just have to be content with getting overly excited if anyone brings up the show. Then disappointed when it's obvious I'm far more interested in it than they are. Thank God for DS

Harbourside in Whitehaven (that's in the north for those of you who don't know) several years back. There was a sort of festival on - ethnic (non-Cumbrian) foods, tall ships, etc.
And a familiar looking Police Box for no apparent reason.

Went for an interview at ITV Studios once, and lo and behold the TARDIS was there! They called it an "appearance on a chat show", I called it fraternising with the enemy.

I have one in my garden!

Beyond that, back in 1980 when I was 10, I was driving through east London (I think) with my Dad when we passed a Police Box that has been painted red. I was SO excited so dad parked up and we went to take a picture of me with it.

It was a bit like this one, but my recollection is that the 'Police Box' sign at the top had been replace with a sign that said 'Fire Brigade'. If I can find the picture I'll put it up.

When I was a mere toddler back in the 60's.....we had at least six police boxes positioned around the town and suburbs. I was always amazed, whilst sitting in the back of the car, pointing out to my dad "Look Daddy - Doctor Who is following us!!" everytime we passed one!
At least we still have one left preserved on the sea-front!
