Eastenders spin offs you would like to see ?
I know neither of them are on the show at the moment but after the Kat and Alfie one , I would love to see one with David and Joe Wicks. Michael French or Paul Nicholls are probably unlikely to ever return to the main show but I wonder if they would be willing to return for a week of spin off episodes in Bolton.
I feel like the David and Joe storyline is unresolved and it's actually been 20 years since David walked out on Joe . It's a missed opportunity for them never to revisit that storyline . Which other characters do you think would be good for spin off shows ? |

Chrissie Watts' life in prison.
Zainab in Pakistan. OP, has Michael French ruled out another return in the future? Shame if that's the case. Paul Nicholls would've returned already if Joe was ever brought back. I think EE was a stepping stone for his career as he has since gone on to star in numerous TV dramas. |

I wouldn't mind seeing one off historical stories to explain characters past to show where they came from and how they got there. For example the Pat and Mo one that explained the reason for the animosity between them, Unfortunately I didn't see at the time and I'm still in the dark. lol

I think if the Kat n Alfie one works it could pave the way for more.
even one offs would work, like following the younger ones on a holiday abroad or delving deeper into certain storylines post watershed. only thing is you gave to be careful how you do it. You see on these boards EE has lots of younger viewers and it might be hard to keep up if you can't/shouldn't be watching a more adult version |

Michael French hasn't ruled out a return but it's highly unlikely I would think . A week of episodes might be more appealing . Does anyone know if Paul Nicholls has ever been asked to return ? In 2012 when he was asked , he said he would go where the work was . He hasn't done that much recently apart from the Sheridan Smith drama 'The C word ' for which his performance was widely praised .
I actually think Paul Nicholls should be asked to return full time along with Daniela Denby Ashe after Kathy returns full time . |

A backstory one of Masood and Zainab when they met in Pakistan/the fire etc was one I always wished had happened around the time of that story.
Janine's adventures since leaving Walford last time. Ronnie and Roxy's pre-Walford life. They were billed as being two exciting, feisty, fun-loving characters, but instead have become miserable, demanding dullards! |

The story of a King's transformation to a Queen. In all seriousness, do you think Steve MacFadden could handle that storyline, or would he be stretched too far? |

I'd like to see an EE follow in the footsteps of Coronation Street (Pardon the Expression, Turn Out the Lights and The Brothers McGregor) and commission a sitcom spin-off. It would the life of Cat-Lady Shirley Benson, living in an appartmrnt block with a host of new residents and Trevor Short would be the caretaker. Oh how the hilarity would ensue.
Also I would like to see Hugh Millers EastEnders prequel novels turned into specials or mini-series covering the storlines from Home Fires Burning, The Flower of Albert Square (Part 1), Swings & Roundabouts and The Flower of Albert Square (Part 2) |

Ha ha, that is amazing. I can just imagine Phyllis taking a deep breath, delicately placing a frond of honey coloured hair behind her ear on the threshold of The Vic as she is about to face the locals for the first time ...

I think the whole mock and shirley saga should me moved to a spin off as well as a rape. They can be supportigg roles in the main show and main for nancy, tina and lee as they seem to be supporting characters for their family.

A spin-off involving Lauren on holiday abroad with plenty of bikini scenes and a holiday romance with another woman would be nice lol.

Spin off showing us how the hell Jane got Lucy from the house into the boot of her car without anyone seeing anything and how she "carried her, like a child" from the car so far into the Common without anyone seeing her.
