Has anyone seen Kelly Clarkson in concert?? I like a lot of her songs but not a massive fan in that I don't own any of her albums. Does she tend to do her singles from past albums or just her new stuff from her latest album??

I thought about seeing her on her last tour but she did Braehead Arena in Glasgow and wasn't sure what it was like and what the disabled access was like. I take it she only does small venues and wouldn't do like the SSE Hydro??

Thanks

A mix of new and old. Like most artists.

I've seen her live and I have to say I was a little disappointed. She has a great live voice and recreates the songs exactly. So if that is what you are looking for, then you will like it. But for me in live performers I like a little more charisma and spark, and more of a production. Her stage setting is very basic. It's basically just like listening to the record at home.
There's no really theatre or excitement to her shows and her personality doesn't really come across too much.

I've seen her live on every tour and disagree with everything in this statement. Her voice is much better live than on record, her personality is hilarious and she is so warm, humble, down to earth and normal. She's old school in that she let's her voice do the talking and doesn't need to rely on dancers and lights to mask any dodgy vocals unlike others.

I disagree. She has heaps of personality and her vocals are amazing. She doesn't need huge stage sets, her voice does the talking.

I've seen her twice OP and was in awe of her both times, she's incredible. The last time was in 2012 and she packed out the MEN arena.

Yeah, I agree with those who disagree That's the beauty of her, she doesn't need to put on a big show, she just lets her talent shine through by standing there and singing. Not that a big show is a bad thing, Pink being the perfect example, just that's never been Kelly's thing.

I've seen her a few times, and she's never disappointed. She'll do a fair few of her newer songs, but she usually does a little medley of some older songs, and obviously sings all the big hits. She does a cover at every concert too, and picks it from fan requests. She's done a whole mixture of stuff, and most are on YouTube. You should check them out, OP.

I'm not a huge fan but took my friend for his birthday as he loves her...I think it was back in 2012 but I can't remember...it was at Wembley Arena. She sounded fantastic...could not fault her voice at all. Like someone else here said though, it was like listening to the record...which isn't a bad thing at all as it shows how good a singer she is, however if I'm going to see someone in concert then I like them to change arrangements of some of the songs, shake things up a bit, which Kelly didn't. I agree with those who said she doesn't need the huge stage sets and costumes etc. Her concerts aren't about that. Overall I enjoyed her.

Maybe you just caught her on a day when she didn't, as she is known for changing things up and doing different arrangement. She does different arrangements of Because of You, for example, sometimes doing the normal, different last chorus, and sometimes repeating the chorus from earlier in the song. She often changes up the lyrics at the end of Since You Been Gone as well.

She changes alot of other songs too. Already Gone is always acoustic now or a totally different arrangement due to the production issue with halo etc. Also Never Again is performed as a ballad alot. Miss independent is ALOT harder with a huge emphasis on it as a rock song. Stronger is alot dancier. She changes her stuff around alot

Me too. I didn't really like the song when it first came out but I think the ballad version is brilliant.

I'd disagree with the previous comments about production too. Some people are entertainers (Britney, Cheryl etc) and put on the big productions and costume changes and all that and others are singers and that is what they focus on. Nothing wrong with either at all but I'd love to go and watch Kelly in a small venue with her band and little production personally

I'd really like to see her at some point. I've been a fan since the beginning and I'm delighted she's still going strong all these years after American Idol. She's fantastic.

Seen her half a dozen times, has always given a good performance, mixes up different arrangements of some of the songs as mentioned, no fancy bells or whistles, she just gets on with it and sings her heart out.

My 'claim to Kelly fame' which I've posted in the past is that I was at the gig at Hammersmith where they filmed the video for "Breakaway", and can be seen in said video!

Not sure what some people here are expecting at one of her shows. She's an amazing vocalist. She's not going to come on stage and do Janet Jackson dance routines.

I was at that show too. That wasn't the original version of the Video. The song was released here back to front. It was the first single in the States and the last single here. I remember at the show she performed it twice.
