Must admit I only get subjected to it when others in the house are watching but that's more than enough. It may just be a teen soap but there's no excuse for such awful casting. Agree there must be some decent, good looking, young actors they could use instead of dead wood models.
I used to watch most soaps but, unless others are, I don't watch any now due to a combination of dreadful story lines, repetition and awful acting. Shame.
Eloise Mignon who played Bridget Parker in Neighbours. I will never forget her infamous line, "oh no Poor Libby". This was the worst delivery of a line I have ever seen from any actor in any performance in living memory.
I might be being unfair because I was very young at the time (early/mid 80s)but I remember EDs Frazer Hines (Joe Sugden)being awful.
Diana Davies who played Norma Ford in Corrie, and then later as Caroline Bates in Emmerdale was just truly dreadful. She wasn`t all that good in A Family At War either.
But in Emmerdale she was cringeworthy bad. In scenes with her and Alan Turner, her line delivery was truly awful. It was like she lost all enthusiasm for her role, and was just reading her lines on an autocue....and badly at that.

Agreed she's terrible! Where do they find these actors?
There are no bad actors in Corrie!! But I find that Dev is a bit OTT, and Antony Cotton plays it too straight/gay / playing himself!!

That's unfair there were some good ones in the cast. To write the whole cast off is to them a disservice.
The worst by a country mile was the woman who played Amanda, Alexis and Blake's long lost daughter, played by Catherine Oxenberg. Very pretty woman but was the worst, most wooden actress ever. Her line delivery was awful
I've never been fond of Natalie Cassidy, like Anthony Cotton she really just is Sonia, there's no difference between her and the character.
And yes the dreadful Danny Mitchell who was out of place from Day 1 around Ronnie and Roxy.

They probably just need a B in GCSE Drama to get a role on Corrie as their standard is that low.
The girl who played Zoe Slaters best mate in EE, Gemma McClusky. She was so bad it was painful to watch, and she always had a a coat on that looked as if it was wearing her.

Yes, I know Gemma was was sadly dreadfully murdered and mutilated many years after she had left the show but honestly, she was so bad it was laughable.

Another vote for Taylor Glockener (Mason Turner) and Eloise Mignon (Bridget Parker) here, both played by fire fire actors.
