Who remembers The Corrs
Used be a great fan of The Corrs, and sad to admit their music helped me get through my studies haha.
Its been mentioned on an Irish News Site that they have decided to get back together, whether its for 1 song or an album isn't too clear yet. So who remembers them? Time to dig the old cd's out haha |

They seemed to get massive when Talk On Corners was released then it all just tailed off.

Forgiven, not Forgotten, and Talk on Corners where the better 2 albums. When In Blue came along they seemed to be aiming for more different genre but still had some good songs.

I love The Corrs, 'Talk on Corners' and 'In Blue' are outstanding albums.
'Breathless' is one of my favourite songs of all times. |

Breathless is one of my favourite songs too, GraceieL. It lifts me up whenever I play it.
The Corrs were a wonderful band. Andrea in particular was a stunning talent. |

Always remember this story:
"We did a live television interview with Donna Air. Her opening question was, ‘So, where did you all meet?’ I looked at my brother and sisters and our hearts sank. If that was the opening question, it could only go downhill from there. It was clear that she knew absolutely nothing about us." ~ Sharon Corr http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/mosl...ill-there.html |

"Forgiven, Not Forgotten" and "Radio" are two of my favourite all time songs.
Glad to see they're back. |

I loved The Corrs. They were the first band I saw live back in 1998 (it was a free concert in Omagh not long after the bomb) so they will always have a special place in my heart. I look forward to some new music.

My mum used to listen to the Corrs a lot when I was little.

I saw them in concert twice when they were a support act for Celine Dion in the mid nineties. This was a year or a couple of years before they became massively successful.

I loved 'Closer' and a colleague put me on to the band before they were well known outside Ireland. He put the album on cassette for me and I was mesmerised, such sweet sound.

Breathless actually came on the radio yesterday during the top 10 at 10 on Key 103.

I loved Runaway - a great track, particularly when the drums kick in at the end of some versions!

They were not that successful in the UK and USA until Tin Tin Out and K-Klass did some brilliant remix's for them.

They were very forgettable at the time they were huge, so I certainly won't be remembering them now.

I don't have much of a music collection (under 700 songs in the library) so the Corrs albums will probably make up a significant part of it. Needless to say I listen to their material frequently. Favourite tracks include Rebel Heart, Leave Me Alone, Make You Mine, Radio, Secret Life, Rainy Day.
Wasn't so keen on their solo material although I do like Shame On You and Champagne From A Straw. Will be interested to hear their new material when it comes out. Very nearly went to see them in Glasgow a number of years ago but the friend who had the tickets gave/sold them to someone at her work. |

I don't know a lot of their songs but the few I've heard I've liked. So Young, Dreams, Breathless, Radio, What Can I Do To Make You Love Me are my faves and the ones I know best.
