I felt the same as you. Very uncomfortable to watch, but at the same time unmissable. Craig got a lot of stick for his behaviour. Think I might wArch that series again!

Craig's obsession with Anthony ruined his chances of winning.

Oh god! The memories still haunt BB now...

There was a bit with Anthony wearing little yellow briefs, pissed as a fart. He was getting really flirting with Makosi trying to tempt her into kissing him etc, Craig came along and blocked her off stating "I really need to take care of anfernee right now".

Then when BB called Anthony to the DR, Craig didn't want to leave him alone and started pacing up and down in the kitchen.

I thought it was uncomfortable viewing at the time & I felt that if Anthony had been female, Craig would at the very least been warned by BB & possibly booted out.

Craig was creepy, to put it mildly.

People blame Channel 4/Channel 5 for us not having live feed anymore, but really it's the fault of the PC brigade. I watched BB6 back not too long ago and it was a great series, but it's full of racist, sexist, homophobic undertones, comments and insinuations. Lots of almost violent arguments too. If it aired on tv today the PC brigade would be out in their droves complaining. If we were allowed to see live feed 24/7 of the current series of BB, people would be complaining like crazy. It would be impossible for Channel 5 to regulate and they'd be receiving complaints constantly. People are way too easily offended these days.

I'm currently re watching BB6 and as I was only 14 at the time it aired I'm obviously watching it with a completely different view than I did then.

I've just watched the episode with Craig's pursual of a drunk Anthony and I have to say it's one of the most uncomfortable things I have ever watched. I found it 100 times more uncomfortable than the Arron/Joel situation. The manhandling, dancing with Makosi and kissing Orlaith while watching him to see if he was jealous, following him into the diary room, crying when he wouldn't hold his hand, the slap and then Anthony apologising to Craig at he end!

What I'm interested to know is how did the viewers react to this at the time? As I was young when I first watched it I found it funny but now 10 years later it's unbelievable. Did BB not think to intervene and have words with Craig about this behaviour. He seems really unstable and I'd love to know what happened after the show.

I don't think this would ever be allowed to go that far in present day BB and rightly so. If I'm honest I think he should have been removed for his own sake or at least a visit from a psychologist.
Which ep was it? is there a youtube link? I'd be interested to see it if you compare it to the Aaron and Joel thing. Particularly as I don't think Aaron even fancied Joel

Glad to see I'm not the only one here disturbed by this

I agree with other posters about how BB has been ruined by the PC Brigade. It takes a lot for me to think 'oh this is too much' but that was definitely one of those moments.

That's the episode I'm talking about I believe it gets worse though as the thing Littlegreen42 is talking about happened in a future episode.

Where has all this PC Brigade nonsense emanated from?

Just because you might find something uncomfortable viewing does not mean your are part of some non existent brigade, or that you have complained to someone

Also, why do people only bemoan the so-called PC brigade only do it on the context of not being able to be homophobic, racist etc to others?

Surely, is it not a good thing that these things are now more frowned upon than they used to be?

Funnily enough Ive just started rewatching this series as it was one of my faves until the new lot came in. And like you say my opinions have changed on housemates. I didn't like Craig and Derek at the time, but after watching again I love them. Just a shame Craig went all Psycho, but still one of my all time faves.

I used that phrase in the wrong context. I don't agree with homophobic, racist comments etc but I think it has been ruined in the way that they don't get away with stuff they did back then. For example when an argument kicks off there's an announcement to calm down or when Marc was drunk he was told to go to bed. Sadly I think there are probably a lot of viewers out there who complain about the slightest thing.

I forgot about Derek, but I remember I couldn't stand him at all.

That series had so many big characters & it was a great series.

I was rooting for Makosi early on, but she lost it after poolgate!

I've never saw that haha I take it they stayed friends then. I think he may have made an appearance for a task in BB10 but I could be wrong.
I think they never spoke for a while. Craig accused Anthony of leading him on for the cameras and Anthony was sick of saying he wasn't gay. Anyway, here it is. I forgot that Nadia was in it too.

I disliked Craig with a passion. He was horrendous

Anthony was a crap winner. I can't help but feel he won due to sympathy over the Makosi incident in the hot tub.

I guess people also voted him due to how he dealt with the Craig situation. Personally I don't think he dealt with it in the right way he should have been firm with Craig and told him if he didn't stop his behaviour then then the friendship would end. I suppose he just let him get on with it in order to gain sympathy and fans.

At one point Craig persuaded Anthony to move into the living room with him. I spent many a night going to bed in daylight after watching Craig and Anthony on those orange sofas with their washing in the corner. They were like an old married couple.

I felt sorry for Craig. He needed help to come to terms with himself but wasn't getting it from anyone.

I thought it was funny and entertaining and I still do to an extent, but upon rewatch Craig CLEARLY needed to speak to a counselor at the very least, and BB should have made him see one. He had a lot of issues to deal with none of which were his fault, he was just going through things.
