For me, the novelty wore off quite quickly.

One of the biggest selling bands of all time, and were huge for 10 years, which is a great deal longer than a lot of artists last these days.

One of the biggest of all time, must be a very small slice of time

I recall them not being in the top 20 the last I looked and don't really expect them to be.

Good band, really good singer with some catchy songs

Will be interesting to see what the new album is like, and if they sound as good after all these years.

Used to love The Corrs back in the day especially their "Talk on corners" album, as well as the track "Breathless" which is quite similar to Belinda Carlisle's "Leave a light on for me".

However getting back to topic, welcome back to Andrea & co.

Brilliant song, I love it. The only one of theirs I have on the ipod. Have to say, I can't recall a single other song by them though, although I'm sure I'd recognise a few if I heard them.

Their 5 albums may have spanned 10 years (1995-2005) but I wouldn't say they were "huge" for that entire time. They were quite big for maybe a year around the release of "Talk On Corners" but other than that hardly "huge".

"What can I do"

"So Young"

"Dreams" - Cover of Fleetwood Mac

"Runaway"

"Only when I sleep"

Are just a few of their well known ones.

I don't know why some of you think it is all about the cash. I would think that maybe if they are some strangers but they are a family so I always thought they would come back one day. Besides, I hardly think they will be big again, the music they do isn't popular anymore. But who knows, maybe I'll be proven wrong.

Anyway, my favorite album is Borrowed Heaven because I love every song apart from Time Enough for Tears and then Forgiven Not Forgotten. The rest of the albums I really don't like some of the songs, I hated that they always seemed to perform Queen Of Hollywood live, I don't like it at all... But Greatest Hits are always a great listen, they had awesome singles.

wow, IMO, Borrowed Heaven is easily their weakest album as it all sounded a little jaded by then. Forgiven Not Forgotten is a classic though, even the album trackers like Closer and Heaven Knows were awesome

Well we have different tastes, I do know I am in a minority when I say Borrowed Heaven is my favorite album, but there you have it

I agree on FNF though, Heaven Knows and Closer are actually one of my favorite songs from that album.

I loved The Corrs first two albums, a nice mix of catchy pop and Traditional Irish music. Then they started to sound too bland and watered down with their Mutt Lange stuff. They seemed to lose some of the trad. Irish I loved. About ten years ago they went back to their roots with a lovely album of trad Irish songs. I loved that. I look forward to what they come back with. My all-time Corrs song is Only When I Sleep. A true classic. Musical perfection.

Fantastic news! I wouldn't go to an outdoor gig if you paid me so I'll be perfectly happy to watch it on TV in the warm with my feet up.

Looking forward to hearing what sort of material they'll do, whether it will be similar to the first time or something new. Andrea Corr is a beautiful singer.
