Damn. Love Val.

I wonder if she heads to Spain to live with Paul.

I hope they're 'leaving the door open' as they say and not killing her off. Although she's talking as if it's permanent she might change her mind later on.

Didn't know she commuted from Newcastle every day though! Crikey, I used to have to do the same journey a few times a week and it drives you barmy! Plus I used to be able to do Newcastle to Leeds in about an hour and a half 'back in the day' but now there's so many traffic restrictions, jams etc it takes much longer, no wonder she's fed up!

Could be a summer casualty.

Makes you think what they're gonna do with Eric though. He's lost David/Alicia/Jacob and now Val. I know David's coming back but still.

Unless Eric dies in the Summer and Val leaves.

Screams with Joy as HIVILE|Val is truly awful.

Feel giddy with glee.

ED will not be the same without her. I'm gutted. I really hope she's not killed off but I fear she might be. And poor Eric - they were perfect together. And Diane losing her sis too.

I'm afraid i find Val quite an unpleasant character and nowhere near as funny as I think she is supposed to be so ut doesn't upset me too much. There are characters i'd rather see go before her (Adumb springs to mind) but i can't say i'll miss her much either. Now Eric, I'd be very upset to lose.

It will be interesting to see where they take Eric and David without both their wives.

Oh gosh, hadn't even thought of that, I love their sister act! Now we've lost Alicia/Leyla and Diane/Val.

I don't want her to die, I want her to go off to Portugal to be with Paul, waving a fabulous hand and swigging champagne, but I don't see how they can separate her from Eric without killing her off.

Noooooooooo
I really hope Amy would come back for the funeral though.
I doubt she'll leave alive, it'll either be the HIV or the summer stunt, surely?

ITV have posted about her leaving on their site, saying

The exact details of Val's exit are still under wraps but Val may come to regret defrauding the bank with Bob. Stay tuned for more...

Val is a fantastic character.

It's a shame Emmerdale are losing so many great stars (Katie, Alicia, Val, Donna, etc...).

Eric and Val have separated on numerous occasions for numerous reasons, I expect it won't be too difficult to create some drama following on from her throwing a birthday he does not want and her cheating on him in Mexico (or something like that) in order to split them up.

More importantly Chris Bisson's contract has apparently been renewed meaning he is on course to kill Alicia later in the year once she returns.

I will be sad to lose Val, and I'd rather they didn't kill her off but would they miss an opportunity to have her die from HIV?
Though this storyline was made to change perceptions of HIV so I would hope that she finds a different resolution.

Edit: I don't know what Finn will do without her.

That seems pretty plausible but surely that will lead to the same repercussions for Bob?

No, another good point. Finn is already dangerously pointless. He had some decent scenes with Emma the other night, but that storyline has a use-by date on it. He was good with Val and Eric.

I'm sure they'll try and give her a satisfying exit. But that's not much comfort right now, wahhh!

Wow this is upsetting, I really like Val. She is hands down the funniest character in the Dales. She had me LMAO last week with her Wendy impersonation.

Why would Jai kill Alicia though?

Her return storyline and exit will, no doubt, revolve around the Leyla, Jai, Megan love triangle where he will not want his affair discovered.

This is just a guess.

Finn could be great given the right material, he is going to have to form a bond with Eric quickly if they want him to still be a big part. It's more boring watching him play second fiddle to Victoria than it is the other way around.

Without Robbie in his life he has lost all purpose. As much as I like Ross he seems to demand all of the attention away from his brothers.
