I'm starting to think maybe it's Rishi who dies this summer. The actor who plays Jai has just signed a new contract, but says he will get what's coming to him! Either Rachel will leave with Archie with the help of Rishi or he will die of a heart attack caused by Jai! I hope not as I really like Rishi lately!

Rishie is there in the background for Rachel which anoys Jai no end, so it is odds on that Jai may kill his dad in an argument.

I love the way Rishi called Jai a spoilt brat last night!

I enjoyed that too, and the telling off Rishi gave him a week or two back about how he didn't recognise or like who Jai's become etc.

I could have kissed Rishi for that. Jai really is coming not as an angry, bitter Dad, desperate to get his kid or take revenge on his ex but a spoiled kid fighting over a toy. His whole attitude to Rachel is that she was an incubator and wet nurse and now her job's done and she can be got rid off.

I've never liked Jai. They should get rid of him and bring back the lovely Nikhil.

Jai always came across as way too smooth and flashy to me. I hated the way he always undermined Nikhil in the factory and was quite derogatory about him. Brotherly bickering is one thing but he went too far.

If Jai was to kill one of his Parents, then I would rather he killed Georgia. Rishi is the most likeable Sharma in my opinion. It is a shame if Rishi leaves.

I know I am in a minority, but I want Jai to get Archie, and Rachel to disappear, never to be seen again in Emmerdale.. If Rishi would stop interfering, Rachel would be gone even quicker. It is odd story writing that Georgia doesn't dote on her only grandson; I have never seen her in a scene with him. I hope that Nickil and Mollie came back some time, even if only for a visit.

Jai hasn't the faintest idea how to be a parent - he treats Archie as a possession, not a child. Despicable man - in so many ways.
Would prefer two Rachels rather than one Jai!!

I see no other way around it for this storyline, if Rachel leaves with Archie then we are left with Jai's storylines revolving around him getting Archie back. So I think it is in the best interests of the show to get Archie, even though that may not be best for everyone else involved.

Me too. Rishi's not very well acted but I do think he's a good character at times, and he was spot on both of those times. It just served to further highlight Jai's ineptitude as a father since Rishi is clearly a much better one.
I agree, he's an appalling father and human being and has no regard for Rachel's position as Archie's mother. I think he's basically a misogynist, he has no respect for any of the women in his life whatsoever. I'm no fan of Rachel on any level but at least she's trying to be a good mother.

I am never sure just why you dislike Rachel so much? She loves her baby and has looked after him through whatever trauma's that have happened to her. Even Charity admitted that she was a good mother. Jai looks on him as a possession. I have a friend like you who always takes the mans part come what may. And Georgia asked Rachel if she could be part of his life, then cleared off round the world.

Rishi's a doll. I liked his more direct, aggressive stance. 'Bout time too, Jai is a bloody rotter. Rishi was the voice of reason. And not because I like Rachel as a character because I don't.

I was sorry to see that Jai has signed a new contract as I think the Sharmas have had their day now. All Jai does is screw up his face, be disagreeable and shout MY SON. Rishi is nice but pointless and as for the hardfaced Seargant Georgia Ackland, she has always been awful. Pryria is OK only because she is with Rikesh. Otherwise get rid of the lot of em.

I'm the same. I don't like Rachel either but I think Jai's treatment of her is absolutely appalling and I'm pleased that Rishi has taken this stance - as you say, the voice of reason.

I didn't know Georgia was a policewoman. Is she divorced from Rishi - if she is I'm assuming that Ackland is her maiden name.

He is an unbelievably terrible actor who's even worse than the one who plays Kirin. Seriously how on earth did these people get the roles in the first place It's not wonder soaps are looked down on when they employ such atrocious actors who shouldn't be anywhere near a camera. The Sharmas are almost as dire as the Spencers. It's time they were moved on and a new family come in to replace them.

I am glad Rishi can see his son for what he is. And don't get me started on Leyla and Megan. Both women missed out on the chance to raise their own sons and now they are willing to do all they can to make sure Rachel doesn't get to raise hers either.

Jai doesn't have a contract. He isn't employed in the factory, he owns it.

He's an absolute love! I have absolutely punched the air at him giving it back to Jai, who is completely out of control. The only times I used to like Jai was in scenes with Rishi (when Rishi had his heart attack), so it's good to see Rishi being a proper Dad, tough love and all. He's a little round prince.

UGH. The women in this storyline are being made to look like right needy mares. Megan I can sort of understand - she lost Robbie and Declan and Jai was there for her (when he wasn't shagging Leyla). But Leyla is a smart lass, and she's behaving like an idiot. Why the hell would she want to be with someone she knows is a bully?

UGH.

I couldn't believe Leyla was just like "oh, ok then" to Jai after she saw his behaviour to Rachel. Wtf?

She loves him remember.

And she allowed him to sweet talk her around by using the 'L' word on her.
