To me, the whole issues of which OS to use is like Politics.
I see many 'died in the wool' 7 users as being like the extreme left Labour or 'extreme right' Conservative supporters who will never change allegiance.
Most 8 users are more like mid ground Labour/Conservative voters who generally accept change, and upgrade happily.
Linuxians are like Liberal Democrats - the breakthrough is coming, change the voting system type of mantra.
The OSX user base to me is more like the SNP, supremely strong in one sector of the community, but never going to make significant inroads outside of that user base. A few will revert to and a few will convert, but the overall windows/OSX ratio will hardly change.
