I thought Google was now owned by Microsoft. Am I wrong?
Wrong I'm afraid. Google is owned by Alphabet, which was what Google was called but their changed their name a few months ago, and what is now called Google is a subsidiary, along with Youtube etc.
Microsoft wanted to buy Yahoo a few years ago, but they never happened.
Google is actually worth more than MS by market capitalisation.

Never realised that google is worth more than MS, just shows how things can change.

Got Cinema 4D working on 10 now, managed to go through a whole render last night of 10,000 pngs and it did not not crash.

Uninstalled video drivers, got a fresh batch from AMD and reinstalled, so that is working now.
Either the original download had a problem or the installation did.

Some interesting and useful changes in the latest insider preview build.
Been playing with it this morning, roll on redstone 2.

The 18 hour update change is a sensible one for pro users and from the feedback if you follow it within insider is the right option.
Hide app list or tiles from start menu will be an interesting one for the gutter press to play on. Well yes I'm sure many users will be happy too
Some power user options for regedit are a plus for me,
I'm not sure about the service host changes being so up front, but its welcome for the more technical of us.

I quite enjoy the laid back way this guy runs through hands on for these preview build changes. Not the most technical, but a good overview;

Actually I think the hide apps list is pretty poor, as it not only hides apps list, it ALSO hides recently added and most used lists DESPITE option set to display them.

It did not have to be all or nothing! How difficult would it have been to hide/show each list as you want - the switches are there!

That will expand as we move to release next year I'm sure. It has been mentioned on those lines.

If someone doesn't like Windows 10 because they think it's spying on them and forces updates then a Chromebook is a bizarre alternative. Google's entire business is built on monitoring you and the Chromebook is hugely dependent on storing your stuff on Google's servers, plus updates are automatic and mandatory.
However, it is worth pointing out that every Chrome OS update does not reset the user's existing favourite settings and that every other Chrome OS update does not cripple an essential aspect of the laptop or PC's capabilities.

Furthermore, it is possible to adjust privacy settings on a Chromebook: http://www.pcworld.com/article/31071...indows-10.html

Has anyone had issues regarding wifi?

My PC and tablet is picking up BTWIFI, as far as I know there is no one in area has it - the problem is this is causing issues with connecting to home router, I have tried forgetting network but at times its picking it up again

I don't know if this has something to do with any updates recently but its just strange - also if your using any other devices synced can this cause issues?

It doesn't matter if it's picking it up really, mine picks up about 5 others. As long as you don't connect to it, it shouldn't do anything.
How is it stopping you logging on to your home network exactly.

Since when did W10 decide it would download updates and reboot your machine all by itself?

With me it was using the correct network key to connect to the router and at times it refused it - had to restart the devices at least 3-4 times (or a bit more) til it kicked back in again, yet the irony of all is that I have a windows phone and that connects to the router without issue! (even after updates)

Also whenever I am away from laptop/PC for a few days - I have my tablet and phone on me, yet its these devices I would say should be picking up the wireless from BTWIFI but again even when I am "home" it still displays these connections??

OK, if you say so. But this is the first time it has done it for me and I've have been running an Insider Review copy since before the official release.

It has changed and you have to set active hours when it will not update.

Perhaps it is because you are running an 'insider review copy'?

It's been updating and resetting on its own for me since the first update was available.

It normally only resets when I've left it over night and nothing is running.

Have to agree I'm afraid. 14393.321 is a crock. A fcukr to install in the first place, not smooth.

I've lost Bluetooth, I have an unrecognised USB device, it's decided I need a touchpad driver update, StartIsBack is broken (1.3.4), W10 Mail has crashed out 3 times. Edge is 'sticking' (short lockups). Amazon music all the icons are missing, just blank rectangles. iTunes was asking me to rebuy my purchased music. Too many coincidences in unrelated software that is normally rock solid.

14393.222 wasn't easy on my desktop. The shit is starting to hit the fan.

I think it's drivers that is the issue, it was with the desktop anyway. Its trying 14393.321 now.

Have you changed it to Tablet mode by mistake? Press the speech bubble icon near the clock.
